"I heard that the First Young Master of the Kim family had a fianceé. It's the girl he brought along to the Kim family's banquet. Mm, it's that pretty little girl."

"That's the girl? She's beautiful. Why would he cheat on such a beautiful fianceé?"

"Men, you know them. However beautiful they may be, men are attracted to the ones outside."

"Even so, isn't it going overboard to be getting together with his sister-in-law-to-be?"

A lot of conversations buzzed about Kai.

His expression darkened and a veil of fog seemed to cloud his eyes.

"Alright, since you're unwilling to
apologize, then don't blame me for being mean."

With that, he got the bodyguards to capture Rosé.

"Kai, as long as I'm around, I won't let you lay a finger on Rosie!" Jennie immediately opened her arms to shield Rosé behind her.

Kai frowned and said coldly, "Jennie, I don't wish to hurt you. This has nothing to do with you, stand aside."

"Impossible!"

Jennie clenched her teeth. "If you're taking Rosie away, then take me along!"

"Don't force me. Stand aside!"

Kai stepped forward, all ready to drag Jennie aside.

But just before he touched Jennie, a menacing voice could be heard.

"Young Master Kim seems so
imposing now. But would you be able to bear the consequences?"

That voice...

Jennie immediately looked up.

She could see his silhouette getting closer, and her heart started beating faster.

He was approaching now, and her heartbeat was out of control.

"Whoa, my Prince Charming is here."

Rosé was obviously more agitated than Jennie.

Her eyes lit up as if she had just seen her life savior.

Before the rest of them could react, she skipped away from behind Jennie.

And then...

Rosé excitedly went towards Lisa.

"Prince Charming, Prince Charming, you're here just in time. If you came a minute later, Jennie and I would've been bullied by this jerk. Your arrival is so dramatic but on point. Full marks for it!"

Seeing Rosé's enthusiasm, Lisa was a little stunned at first. Then, he took a step back.

Although this girl was Jennie's good friend, he wasn't comfortable with her sudden approach.

Rosé didn't mind him stepping away, however.

She pointed at Kai angrily. "Prince Charming, it's great that you're here. This shameless man was about to bully me and Jennie. You've got to help us."

Lisa did not say anything as he walked towards Jennie.

He stopped right behind her. The man looked down at her, and his voice softened.

"You've been bullied?"

Jennie looked at him blankly.

Her heart was pumping out of her chest and only started to steady when he was right beside her.

She finally found her voice after a few seconds of shock.

"H-How did you get here so fast?"

It had been less than 10 minutes since the call.

Lisa smiled easily and swept her hair to the side.

"Didn't I say that I was near?Moreover, I'm always rushing to see you. If it weren't for the few red lights on the way, I'd have been even earlier."

Lisa pulled Jennie into an embrace and kept an arm around her waist. He then looked up and swept a glance at him.

"Now let me ask you. Baby, who is he? Did he bully you?"

Jennie looked up and eyed Kai coldly.

"He's an unimportant person, you don't need to know."

Kai was shocked before his expression darkened. He could see the rivalry in Lisa's eyes.

"I'm Jennie Kim fiancé. She and I..."

"Mr. Kim, let me remind you. You and I have nothing to do with each other anymore," Jennie said with a blank expression.

"We called our engagement off earlier on. Please get this clear, so you won't utter nonsense to taint my reputation."

Kai heart actually ached when he saw how distant and disgusted she looked.

He couldn't identify why, but he felt upset and uncomfortable.

It was as if something was eating away at his heart.

Although he had long guessed that Jennie would be with another man by now, it was a lot easier to deal with it when he hadn't seen the man himself.

Now that he saw him in person, he felt a stab to his heart realizing that it was a young, handsome man who looked so good with her, and not an old fogey.

Even breathing became a chore.

"Jennie, what's your relationship with him? Is he the owner of that Rolls-Royce?" Kai asked her.

She was actually with another man now.

They had broken up for barely a week and she already found herself a new man!

He didn't believe she had a change of heart so quickly.

For all the years they had been together, she had only had eyes for him.

She loved him so much.

For his sake, she turned from a pampered miss to a domesticated lady who could cook and do chores well.She had said that she felt happy to be doing these things for him.

For his sake, she was willing to change herself. She even said that she, Jennie, would only ever like a man named Kai in this lifetime.

And that she would only be Kai's bride.

He remembered every word clearly.

Every single one.

He simply could not believe that given the love she had for him, she could put their relationship behind her so quickly.

This man that she got together with must have been to spite him.

Or that she wanted to use this man as a means to forget him.

Didn't they all say that the easiest way to forget a person was to be in another relationship?

The more she did this, the more she proved that she still loved him and could not forget him.

With that thought, Kai felt better about himself.

"It's none of your business. Who are you to interrogate Jennie with that tone!"

Before Lisa and Jennie even said a thing, Rosé came forward to rebut Kai first.

With Lisa around, she was even more fearless.

She pointed Kai in the nose and told him off mercilessly.

"You're a cheating man, what right have you to ask her this way? Jennie already said you've broken up, that makes the both of you strangers. What has her life got to do with you at all?"
