YOUR STOMACH TWISTED with nervousness and confusion as you slowly approached your grandfathers old mansion, a small smile tugging upon your lips as you took in the estates absolute beauty. It had been a normal morning when you had awoken with the news of your grandfathers sudden passing, your emotions overwhelming even more as you had received a message detailing that he'd left his mansion estate, along with every single worker of his, to you in his will. Of course you were more than upset with the news you had been plagued with, but a little part of you couldn't help but flutter at the idea of a new start.

"L/N, Y/N?"

You couldn't help but widen your eyes as you turned to face the sudden noise, your heart only beating faster and faster as you matched the voice to face. "Yes?" You could barely manage eye contact.

He was absolutely ethereal. Every feature of his pieced together perfectly like a puzzle fit for a museum, his eyes a museum of their own as they stared into yours. A small smile tugged at his lips along with a glint of interest sparkling in his eyes, his overall demeanor both intimidating you and peaking your curiosity greatly. "Forgive me for interrupting your thoughts." He bowed. "My name is Wang Yixiang, I was your grandfathers personal assistant before he..." His voice trailed off slowly.

You nodded slowly as the negative feelings returned. "I understand.. it's nice to meet you." You held out your hand to shake his which he responded to quickly with a gloved hand, a blush creeping across your cheeks at his extremely proper mannerisms.

"The pleasure is all mine, I am forever at your service." His hand squeezing yours so lightly and delicately you could barely feel it.

You would be lying if you said you weren't a bit upset when he pulled his hand away from yours, the electric feeling you had just felt fading faster than ever.

"Shall I give you a tour? I'm aware you haven't been here in quite some time." He straightened himself up.

You nodded once again as a small smile formed on your lips. "That would be lovely."

"𝗜 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘 𝗜'𝗠 boring you," Yixiang chuckled as he observed your exhausted state. "Shall we continue this tour another time?"

You shook your head in protest which was spinning lightly. "No no it's not you, I'm sorry. I've just had a long day, I'm sorry to be so rude."

A reassuring smile spread across his face. "I can only imagine what you've gone through, all this must be incredibly overwhelming."

"It's definitely not something I experience on the daily." You quietly said making him laugh.

"I'd be concerned if it was, you don't deserve to go through things like this. Even if it's just once." He said before turning to lead you to another room, your cheeks flushing brightly. "Here's your room," He said as he opened the door for you. "I thought you'd maybe like to get some rest."

You practically flew across the room before crashing onto the bed face down making him laugh once again, him mumbling a few words which you swear you heard as "how adorable".

"Shall I leave you to rest?" He asked from your doorway.

You couldn't stop the pit from forming in your stomach as you took in the words"leave you". Your grandfather had been one to constantly promise you he'd never leave you on the daily when you were a child, and you couldn't stop the wave of sadness and remembrance that overcame you as tears started forming in your eyes. You hid your face even deeper into the covers as you attempted to hold your composure together as best as possible, not wanting to break in front of Yixiang.

"Young master Y/N?" He called out before slowly approaching you. "Is everything okay?" He hesitated before placing a hand on your shoulder lightly.

You couldn't help but let out a loud sob at his question, the tears you had been holding in for so long finally escaping. You eventually had to sit up as you could no longer breathe while laying face down, quickly hiding your face in your hands as more tears streamed down your face.

"You don't have to hide," He softly said as he reached for your hands and pulled them away from your face. "Your feelings are completely understandable and valid, you shouldn't be afraid to express them."

His words sent more tears streaming down your face only making him worry even more. "I'm sorry," You managed out as you wiped your eyes.

"You have absolutely nothing to be sorry for." He smiled softly at you before taking your hand in his reassuringly and giving it a soft squeeze. "I don't usually do this for those that I serve but..." He quietly said before pulling you into a tight hug that you couldn't help but melt into. "It just feels right to do so with you."

You tried to hum in response which resulted in more of a weak whimper making him laugh. "Can I ask you for something?" You looked up at him.

"Of course, I'm here to serve you in any way I can."

"It's kind of weird," You couldn't help but blush as he looked down at you in confusion. "But can you stay here..? Just until I fall asleep I mean, I'm sorry if that's too weird-"

"It's more than okay." He smiled before helping you cuddle up in bed. "I'll be here for as long as you want me to."

You nodded sleepily as you sunk into your covers. "I hope that means you're okay with being here forever, then." You half-mindedly said making him smile.

"I would be a fraud if I said I wouldn't like that too." He said before brushing a piece of your hair from your cheeks. "Sleep well, Y/N. I'll be right here."
