"Hey, you okay?" I asked Izara as she was just staring, not eating her food
"Yeah, I'm fine. Can anyone tell me where the bathroom is?" She said, standing up
"Go upstairs, and it's the second door to your left," Mama Val said
As she left the room, it was dead silence
"Do you guys notice anything about her?" Vincent said, speaking up. "Now all eyes were on him
"What do you mean?" I questioned
"Haven't you guys noticed that's she always flinching around us even for the little things?" he said
"I noticed that too," Dante said
"Do you think that's why she misses so many days of school?" Mattias asked
"No, she said it was because she had to take care of her sick grandma." I supposed
"Maybe she's was lying," Mattias said
"What are you guys saying?" Salvo asked
"That's she getting abused," "Michael doesn't have a mother," Rowan and Christian said at the same
"What?" Dante exclaimed , all of us confused
"You think she's getting abused?" Rowan questioned
"Well, I mean, what else you got in mind?" He said
"Maybe she's just jumpy," Severo said
"Jumpy, my ass,"Christian said
"Language," Edoadro said sternly
"Dad, on the other part, Michael mother died?"Dante asked
"She was sick, but his mother died two years ago," He said
"There's something she's not telling us," Christian said
"Well no duh" Cassio and Severo said at the same time
"Fuck off" He spouted
"Language" Edoadro said glaring at Christian
"Just wait until the ball it's in a month and if she's there then it's all just a plan with her father. Still keep a eye on her." He said
And we all nodded
Izara pov.-
"She was sick but his mother died two years ago" Mr De Santis said
"There's something she's not telling us" Christian said
"Well no duh" Cassio and Severo said at the same time
"Fuck off" He shouted
"Language" Edoadro said to Christian
"Just wait until the ball it's in a month and if she's there then it's all just a plan with her father. Still keep a eye on her." Mr De Santis said
No. No. No
This can't be happening
They know that I'm lying
What does Michael got himself into? And what ball?
I need to leave
I walked in like I didn't just hear there conversation
"Hi I have to go it was a lovely dinner thank you Mr and Mrs De Santis" I said
"Oh your welcome honey it was nice having you" Mrs De Santis said
Why, what's wrong" Damon asked with narrowed eyebrows
He just can't just leave anything alone can he.
"My dad called and told me that he needs me to come home, he said it's an emergency" I said lying straight through my teeth
"Do you need a ride" Mrs De Santis asked
"No ma'am I'll just-" I was beginning to say before I got cut off , "I'll drive you home" Mr De Santis said as he got up walking out the dining room and coming back, walking straight out the door.
"Okay then um well I'll see you guys later" I said walking out the door, gettin into the car.
The car ride was complete silence
But I stared at him, analyzing his features. From his hair, to his eyes, nose, and lips.
"You know it's rude to stare" He said
"Right sorry" I said putting my head down in embarrassment
"We are here" He said
"Thanks Mr De Santis" I said getting out of the car quickly
I ran inside shutting the door
I sighed of relief and went straight to my room taking off Grace clothes and putting on my sweats and long sleeve shirt. I went Graces and Michael room putting her clothes on the floor in the closet in her bathroom. Since she already has clothes on the floor I decided to put it there.
Gosh, she can't clean for nothing
