Emma. My perky best friend. My first real friend. Or maybe it was never real. Just a way to get close to me. Well if that's what it was, it sure worked. I don't know why this hurt more than finding out about Uncle Kurt. Maybe because she always stood up for me and stuck with me through everything. She helped me with my schoolwork, woke me up in the morning, and was just always there for me. She met my eyes with what was it? Regret. Sympathy. Sorrow. I can't trust anyone anymore.

She grabbed my arm and dragged me back into Dr. Anderson's laboratory. She pushed me into the couch and then sat across from me.

"Aspen-"

"Save it. I'm gonna ask the questions here. And you're going to answer them. Got it," I said with rage trembling in my voice.

"Sure. I deserve to answer your questions," she replied.

"Okay. First, were you set up in the airport so you would meet me and Hunter?"

"Yes."

"Who was that man you were talking to in the mall yesterday?"

"Lynn's dad. Dad couldn't risk coming out in front of you."

"Dad?"

"Oh right. My dad is um ... Dr. Anderson." This is too much in one day.

"S-so my 'uncle' is your dad? How is that even possible?"

"He had a girlfriend a long time ago. Her name was Stephanie Waters."

"So your name isn't Emma Waters?"

"Half. It's Emma Anderson." She spoke in such a calm tone that it made me want to strangle her.

"One last thing," I choked out, "Were we even friends?"

"Look, Aspen. At first, I was just supposed to get close to you to find out information for the ... project, but then my time with you became genuine and that's why it was so heartbreaking to betray you. I'm not even a Celestial. When you first saw me, that was the real me. I actually do have green eyes. It's the purple that was fake." I was trembling. Everything we've ever done together was a lie. My first friendship was a lie. All this time my roommate has been spying on me, only spending time with me to get leads on whatever their project is. But instead all I said was, "Well. I have a feeling that Will won't have a crush on you anymore."

The expression on her face mirrored surprise and sadness. I got up and stormed out of the room. I ran as fast as I could and then hid in a random supply closet. When I turned around, there was a flight of stairs going up. I ran up the stairs and found myself ... in a pediatric clinic. I walked to the bathroom as if I were a patient, and then locked myself in a stall. I had to contact Hunter immediately.

Hunter! Go to Professor Nunes or Professor Milora. Tell them that Emma is not even Celestial and that she betrayed us and that my so called Uncle Kurt is actually Dr. Anderson who is trying to corrupt the existence of us Celestials. Oh yeah and Emma is his daughter. I'm at a facility called EOPA which stands for Elimination of Pediatric Ailments, but it's just a cover for Elimination of Planetary Anomalys. They captured Lynn too because her dad is Dr. Anderson's assistant. Right now I locked myself in a bathroom stall telling you this. Please come help me. Remember not to tell anyone about our Shared Gift. Please hurry!

Oh my gosh Aspen! Thank Spiderman you're okay! I'm running to Professor Nunes' office right now. I'll update you when she tells me anything. I can't believe Emma. I thought she was our friend. I'll tell them about Lynn too. Stay in that bathroom stall! It may be the safest place at the moment.

Okay Hunter. Thank you so much. And hurry!

 Got it!

I stayed in the bathroom stall for a couple more minutes but then a sudden thought struck my mind. Lynn. I knew she was still here, but what if they hurt her. It would be all my fault. And in that moment was when I fled the safety of the bathroom stall and went to save my friend before it was too late.

A/N: Short chapter. Sorry. I just couldn't resist. I had to tell you who it was. Plus, I've just been in such a writing mood lately. Which is good I guess. Also, I might not be able to update this week since it's the last week of school for me and it will be very hectic. I just want to say right now that I wouldn't be writing this story if it weren't for my teacher. I know she will never see this, but she's the one who inspired me to do this in the first place. And I just want to thank her for that. I guess that's it.
