Ashton:

"I really like Hugo if its a boy." Ashton crossed his arms firmly, not taking no for an answer. You and Ashton were just about to have your midwifes appointment where you would find out the sex of your baby and Ashton thought it would be the perfect time to discuss baby names.

"Ash, Hugo sounds like a dogs name." You tried to reason with him but he wasn't listening.

"Fine. No for Hugo, what about Charles?" He jumped up excitedly off of the hospital seat.

"Charles? Only if his last name can be Bass." you smirked to yourself so Ashton couldn't see and watched as he looked confused.

"Why would his last name be Bass?" Ash frowned but you just shook your head and laughed. "I want him to have an awesome name." Ashton sat back down and hung his head sadly, although he was making a big joke out of it this clearly was very important to him and he wanted your baby to have the best name possible.

"Well, first of all you can't say him, we might be having a little girl!" you reminded him.

"Oh crap! I forgot about that!" he face palmed himself and went back to moping. You lifted your head up away from him to see a friendly looking nurse waving you into the doctors office, you gave her a smile and a nod and went back to Ashton.
"Ash... its time to go in now. Stop stressing about it okay, our baby will have the best, kickass name ever and it doesn't matter even if they don't. We're still gonna love the baby just the same. Now cmon, let's go find out what we're having!" you whispered excitedly, dragging Ashton with you into the doctors office.

Calum:

"Baby shopping is the worst." Calum moaned as he walked through the isle of the department store, brushing his hands over quilted baby blankets and numerous pink clothes.

"It might not be fun Cal, but gotta be done." you shrugged at him as you examined the most adorable pink bonnet.

"Beth isn't gonna like this stuff. Beth is going to want something cool and not a pink bonnet." he said the words slowly as if they were venomous.

"Beth?" you stopped examining the bonnet and questioned him. You hadn't decided on a name for your little girl yet, you wanted to wait until you saw her for the first time and you knew the name would just come to you but apparently Calum had already decided. "Where did Beth come from?"

"I think its a really pretty name." He shrugged to himself, a little smile on the corners of his lips.

"Where did you get Beth from though?"

"I was just er, listening to some music this morning and it came to me." his cheeks flushed pink slightly and you caught on to where he'd found the name Beth.

"Calum Thomas Hood. If you think we are naming our daughter after a Kiss song, you're out of your mind." you smiled sweetly at him and his little puppy smile dropped.

"Fine, what about Jolene?" His eyes lit up again for a fraction of a second before seeing the look on your face.

"She's not being named after a Dolly Parton song either, Cal. Give it up." you said firmly.

"Well, we'll see about that." Calum whispered to himself, smiling as he looked down at a teeny pair of yellow socks.

Michael:

"What about Spyro?" Michael half shouted at you. You were laying in bed after a long day spent setting up furniture in your soon to be born son's nursery. Michael had one arm wrapped around your shoulders and the other curled across your stomach, tracing patterns on the bump.

"He might get bullied." you reasoned with him.

"Who would bully a kid called Spyro? I'd want to be friends with him." Michael smiled to himself.

"Well, we can keep Spyro in mind." you have him a large reassuring smile but there was no way your son was being named after a fictitious purple dragon.

"Crash?" he exclaimed loudly, making you jump yet again.

"Like Crash Bandicoot?" you frowned wildly at him and he nodded like an excited little child.

"No! Why do you insist on naming our son after characters from games?" you asked him with a stunned look on your face.

"Well, duh, they're awesome names!" Michael wasn't going to give up the dream of naming a child after his favourite characters anytime soon. You sighed to yourself loudly, there was no way he was letting this go. Rolling your eyes as he blabbered on about names, you cuddled into him and closed your eyes and you were unable to stop yourself smiling as Michael rambled on about the benefits of naming your son after a Final Fantasy character.

Luke:

"Look, babe, this is really hard." Luke whined as he flicked through yet another page of the baby names book.

"I know but I'm due in a week, I'd kind of like to have a name for her by then." You leaned into his broad shoulder, fighting the urge to sleep and to keep reading through the baby names book.

"I really like the name Madison." Luke shrugged effortlessly.

"I don't." you sneered at him, nothing wrong with the name but you just knew it wasn't right for your little girl.

"Whatever, I'm gonna put some music on." Luke grabbed his laptop from the side table and quickly went onto Spotify, clicking shuffle and letting the music play. Amber Lynn by Mayday Parade was the first song that began to play and suddenly it made sense.

"Amber Lynn..." you whispered to yourself, seeing how the name sounded out loud.

"Amber Lynn..." Luke repeated, a wide smile growing on his face.

"Well, that's settled then." you kissed Luke quickly before throwing the baby names book on the floor. You straddled your legs around his waist and hooked your arms around his neck, it was a little uncomfortable considering you were eight months pregnant but you made it work.

"I can't wait for her to be born now, little Amber Lynn..." Luke smiled beautifully and leaned in to kiss you once more.
