Info:his backstory is still a mystery, but knuckles grows up with mental problem.
He have bipolar disorder which means he have extreme mood swings, he can be laughing joyful but then quickly became extremely furious in just a minute, he have many warnings and triggers.
He also have amnesia, he doesn't remember anything from his childhood except raising Crusty and his own name.
His overprotective on the master emerald because the last thing he remembered of his past is his suppose to be on line to protect it with his life, his also protective of Crusty since his the only echidna he ever seen beside himself since his amnesiac.
He also sometimes act as a child thinking all he do is playing a game which he didn't know it's deadly.
He also have habit to collect skulls and make then into masks whenever a outsider got to their island and got killed on their dead traps or get killed by them, a hobby he found when he killed someone for the first time.

Info:his backstory is also mysterious because he just came out of nowhere when his just a egg, his parents is nowhere to be found like knuckle's does.
Knuckles found him as a egg in the abandon village knuckles think as his old home, he felt the small life in the egg and decided to take care of him.
However on taking care of Crust, Knuckles accidentally did things that might cause Crust's life creating a crack on the Egg, the crack on the egg effected crust inside so he now have short memory problem.
He also have a seperation anxiety so he always with Knuckles, he'll go crazy if Knuckles is nowhere near him in few minutes or so.
His the one who knows how to calm Knuckles down whenever one of his mood swings triggered.
He help Knuckles on making the skulls into masks and even sometimes wear one, his favorite skull mask is the bird mobian skull that Knuckles made for him.
