Beach Date ( Chapter 2)

emery's pov

I've been with Greyson since I was 14. He likes basketball, and dark chocolate, animals like his dog lily, shoes, the marvel cinematic universe, sunny days, spending time at the beach, and funny pictures. He also likes me, his hair is light brown  and his eyes are hazel and he is 4 inches taller than me (6'3). If you like stuff like that, I think he's an amazing boyfriend but that might just be me. when he puts me back down I go to face him, he still seems to be chuckling.  

" what are you doing?"

" you didn't answer your phone this morning, what's up with that?" he said as we locked eyes

" well I was tired and I don't need to check my phone everyday, and not always for you"

"ok ouch"

he looked at me with a grin "your clueless" "clueless to what?!"  he slips a paper into my pocket and leaves with a wink. once he had left I open up the paper to a nice hand written note. it says:

meet me at the dock (YKW) at 7:00 pm  

don't be late.

that's intresting... school was over and I just wanted to go home and chill, maybe watch a movie or two. I always liked shows like Outer Banks, Heartstopper, and Riverdale (which I'm still waiting for news seasons but I like to watch them on rewind). I walk down the hallway back to my locker and grabbed my things and put them in my bag. I got to my car and drove to McDonalds the pops are only dollar so I grabbed drinks for me and Jamie, hopefully he gets to bed on time. ( a/n: do you guys say soda or pop? I say pop but I want to know you opinion)

once I get the pops and  started to head home. I drive up towards our house, the house was made of white wood and black beams going across, it was a two story house three if you count the basement. It had lots of windows I loved our house because we have so many memories here. Jamie greets me at the door with what looks like his friend Eli. Eli was a little smaller than Jamie, he head jet black hair and dark brown eyes, and was also on Jamie's baseball team.

 " Hello sissy!" " hi Emie!" (which was a nickname he gave me, and a lot of people call me)  " hi guys, Eli I didn't know you were coming over" the small boys looked at each other than look back at me " yea my mommy had to go to work but she said to your mommy that I cant come over" he says with a smile. I totally didn't know he would come over so I forgot to get eli a drink so I just headed him mine and Jamie his. They thanked me and went back inside to watch Paw Patrol which is a cute show in my opinion, and they seem to like it. My mom was in her office having a meeting with her colleagues and was getting ready to leave for work. So I just went to my room and plopped down on my bed.  I grabbed my phone and started scrolling through tiktok and pintrest  I thought that I had been scrolling for 30 minutes but I had been scrolling for two hours and the time was now five thirty. The sky does not get dark till 9 which is weird but it is what it is.  I started to get ready to meet with grey. I crimped my hair and put my make - up on. 

it was now 6 o'clock and my dad had just got home. mom was leaving for work so me and dad helped her. she worked at a hospital as a CNA (  Certified Nursing Assistant )  and she can't be late.

"bye guys!" mom says walking to the door

"bye bye  mama!"

 " buy mommy" jamie says running and giving her a hug.  my mom, elizabeth was 42, she was 37 when she had jamie and was 24 when she had me. she was a tall muscular women I was taller than her, me being 5'10 and her being 5'8. she always spoke her mind and had a very booming voice. my dad kyle was about 6'4 and a skinnier than my mother, he was very kind to everyone and was a teacher for the university of north carolina, also the head volleyball coach. once mom was gone I was the next to leave. " hey dad" I say looking at him in the kitchen. " yes?" he say not looking up from his work. " i'm going to hang out with grey for a bit what time do you want me to come home?" "11 -12 at the latest" he was working on what looked like the homework he gave them college kids but I was not for sure. " ok bye love you" " love you too" and I left. 

2 hours prior 

greyson's pov 

"dude its not like that" alex says to us " ok than what is it because it looks like you really like this girl" he blushed. me, alex and eddie were on the boat I was sopposed to meet my girlfriend in. the boat was mine but when I leave for college with Em its going to sit here for a while so I got to get as much use out of it that I can. " ok enough about me, grey what about you and miss emery huh" both my friends look at me and waited for an answer. " well we are doing pretty good, we are getting everything ready for college". me and emery where going to the University of California she was going for exploration like things like dig up acient runes or solve the mystery of the pyramids. We got to alex's house  " here's your house bro see ya later" both of them got out and waved, I drove up to rave reef and tied up. I grabbed the picnic things, the blanket, basket, food, drinks, candles, and  movie screen. it was funny because no one came up here, only me and Em only know about this place. once I got everything set up I took a picture and got back on the boat and headed to the special dock. 

I got to the dock and waited for her to show up.

" hey there stranger" I heard someone call out and it was her

( a/n) sorry this was shorter than expected and i'm sorry their is a lot of pov's)

third person 

" hey there stranger" emery says, their was a little glimmer in her eyes that he had not seen before. Greyson started the boat and helped her on " your early" she cocked her head " grey its 6:30" "yea that's still early" he says. Greyson starts the boat and they leave the dock, Emery's hair flying in the wind getting in her face every time she turned. they were going for awhile they were singing to songs and dancing as the boat sored through the water. once they got to Rave Reef Greyson hoped out and tied down the boat, next came emery greyson helped her down. they walked to the spot were greyson set up their little dinner date. emery smiled than looked at her loving boyfriend " this is perfect when did you do this" he kisses her cheek than looks back at her " I did this about an hour or two ago, thank god you liked it" they walked up to the blanket and sit down. greyson grabs fire wood and as you knew it started a fire, than he walks over and grabs sticks and marshmellows and hands it to emery. 

" mines not working!" emery takes the stick out of the fire and grabs the marshmellow she just burnt and chucked it back into the fire. greyson laughs " maybe don't hold it so close to the bottom of the fire babes"  he put a new marshmellow onto her stick and helps her put it where it gets the perfect golden brown " thank you" " watch your mellow or its gonna burn again" it didn't take to long before that happend. " oh my god I can't get it right!" she says in frustration, " how does yours look so golden and perfect" he laughs " I don't understand how you keep burning your mellow even after I helped you". Emery gives him a glare, once greyson was done he put his into a smore and was going to take a bit before she snatched it from his hand he head shot up but before he could grab her hand she was already running away " give me back my mellow!" the couple ran all over the beach, greyson was ganing on her so she took a bite of the marshmellow, but right as she does that greyson comes up from behind and picks her up. emery started kicking her feet " let me down!" she says trying to get out of his grasp. he sets her down she hands out his smore and he bits it right out of his hand. " mmmm so good, I  make the best smores" he says finishing his smore " can you make me one please" " of course, i'll make it in a sec" she looks at him with a happy face " you better". after greyson made her a smore emery walked to the beach right as the waves hit her feet. greyson grabs the rest of what was left of the picnic and put it in the boat. he see's her just sitting there, she had a sad expression, like she had lost something. "hey you ok?" he said sitting down next her. "im fine" she responded still not looking at him " I just like the ocean, the waves are always perfect at night " he grabs her and pulls her into a side hug " its a full moon tonight, its looks beautiful just like you" they both laugh " god you are so cheesy" " oh I know " 

for the next few minutes they just sat their like that.

a/n:  sorry this took longer than I wanted but here it is Im at a writers block so hopefully chapter 3 might come out later today or this week. I'm finally not sick anymore so I get more time to write. but I also have to workout a bunch and hang with my family so hopefully this was good!  also the time period is last year 2022 btw
