======================================

  He stood in the neglected dining room of his old restaurant. A few party hats and stained paper plates scattered the floor, as if everyone had run off during lunch hours. He stared ahead, lost in thought as he gazed upon his creations. Freddy's jaw partially open and eyes half shut, posed as if he'd been frozen in the middle of a laugh. Bonnie gazed off into the dining room, like he was observing the crowd. Chica looked back at the other two, cupcake held high, ready to respond to whatever Freddy had laughed at..

  Henry could almost see the performance they'd been stuck in the middle of. It was a hot summer afternoon. The air conditioning was broken again. Everything smelt like pizza and sweaty customers and kids.. Unpleasant, but almost nostalgic to him now. It reminded him of Charlie and her friends. They'd play together at the restaurant all day.. some of them would hide under the tables to try to play longer when it got too late.

  He glanced around the room, taking in all of these happy memories at once. He was also hit with a few bad memories. The children going missing, and that argument he had with William.. That one hurt. Of course, there was never enough evidence to actually put him away for good. Even he knew that. The small amount of camera footage they had wasn't enough. It only showed him walking out of the back room at the end of the day, nothing incriminating.. He really should've invested in better security.

  Henry was still lost in his memories when he heard something behind him. Faint footsteps.. he should be the only one here. He turned around, but there was no one there. He felt like he was being watched. He started to leave, turning around and heading back towards the hallway he got in through. He heard more footsteps, still far away.. he got to the door he came in through and tried to open it- it wouldn't budge. Someone had locked it, but who? And how? The only evidence of someone being here was those distant footsteps, but those could've been from the mall itself, not inside the restaurant. Henry turned around, about to walk back to find something to help him get out, but he froze in his tracks.

  At the end of the hallway was a figure, barely illuminated by the flickering hallway light. While he couldn't see them, they could certainly see him..

  The stranger chuckled. A dry, bitter sound. He almost sounded like he'd been dehydrated for the longest time. But there was also something else Henry had noticed.. An accent he knew all too well. A voice he'd been dreading to hear, one that sent shivers down Henry's spine.

  It was William.

  Some small part of him wanted to run towards him, to hug his old friend.. the rest of him wanted to run as far away as he possibly could. But he couldn't move. His legs were screaming at him to run, but he couldn't make himself move. He was frozen in terror. There was another dry chuckle from William.

"Oh, you poor thing.. you're terrified, aren't you Henry?"

  Henry struggled to swallow. He wanted to say something, but he couldn't- William made slow, purposeful steps towards him. Henry finally had the fucking balls to move, so he stepped back. He silently cursed himself for that, he'd be cornered. William stepped closer, now only an arms reach away from Henry. He reached a hand up, gently caressing Henry's cheek, feeling him tense up. He suddenly grabbed Henry by the shirt collar, lifting the slightly shorter man up a bit to stare into his frightened eyes. "What did you think would happen when you came back here, hm?". He pinned Henry against the hallway walls, feeling his pulse against his hand.

*William POV*

  I had to admit, seeing him here was the last thing I expected. As I stared into his lovely, frightened brown eyes, I couldn't help but smile. Henry.. my Henry.. he was back. "I thought you died.. I was going to rebuild you, put you back together like what you did with your daughter.. glad to know I won't have to."

  He finally spoke- "Charlie- she's here?". I dropped him onto the floor. Of course he asks about her. Not about me, no, his shitty fake Charlotte. He fell partially on his side, and he rolled over to get up. Once he was on his back, about to sit up and stand, I stepped on his chest, slightly crushing him. I wouldn't have done this earlier, but he pissed me off, and he was in such a perfect position for this. I pressed my foot down a bit more, hearing something crack beneath me. He was struggling to breathe now, trying to push me off of him.. Awh, so cute.. so fragile.

  I backed up, walking down the hallway back the way I came. I knew he'd follow me. He'd never been as smart as he thought he was. He was so predictable. I walked back to the other side of the dining room.. and I turned. He appeared at the end of the hallway, looking around, no doubt looking for me. He deemed it was safe enough, and he scampered across the room, like a little mouse trying to stay out of sight. I silently laughed to myself. Silly little Henry.. I followed him as he made his way to the backstage area. He was digging around the shelves and boxes, probably looking for something to pry open the door.

  I was silent as I approached. I was standing right behind him now.. I happened to breathe against his neck, definitely on accident.. he froze. I smiled again, wrapping my arms around his waist, resting my head on his shoulder. I could feel Henry shaking slightly in my arms. He was so terrified..

  And trapped..

    With me.
