Chapter 9: My Baby

Harmony

We walked in the carnival looking like a lil family. I looked over at Carter and mouthed the words 'You gone be mine'. She smiled at me then focused her attention on a ride that we all could get on.

"Tickets please." the man said. I handed him 9 tickets 3 from each of us. We sat Riley in the middle and we sat on the outsides. I wrapped my arms around both of them and the space ship ride started. We went up and down then it got a little faster. Riley squealed from joy.

When the ride was over we walked to a water shooting contest Booth and I played so I could win them both a Teddy bear. 7 rounds later I had both of them a huge Teddy bear. They both were extremely exuberant. We got on a couple more rides and took lots of family portraits. It was amazing.

"Owwwweee Mommy Mommy!!!" Riley screamed. "Yes baby?" Carter and I asked in unison. "Not you mommy Harmony! Mommy Carter!" I looked at Carter and she smiled. "I wanna ride the Merry Go Round!" she said. Carter walked her to the gate and gave the carnie 3 tickets.

"I think my baby really like you.." I said to Carter as she walked back over to me. "I like her too like she's my own daughter." she replied. I smiled at her and wrapped my arms around her. "I like you too." I whispered. She wrapped her arms around me and I felt her heart speed up.

I really do like her. I want to be with her for real. I wonder if she feel the same way about me. "Lets go home and have movie night." she whispered to me. "Home?" I raised my eyebrow at her and she said, "Your home." I smiled at her and waited for Riley to get off the ride.

"Mommmyyyy it was soooo fun!" Riley squealed running over to us. "I'm glad it was baby. Lets go home." Carter said picking Riley up.

We walked outta the carnival grounds and went back to my car. Everybody all buckled in and secured we drove back to my apartment.

"I haven't been here in weeks!" Carter said flopping down on the couch. Riley had fell asleep on the way here so it's just us watching tv. I let Carter pick a movie while I popped some popcorn.

"What we watching?" I asked Carter as I sat down next to her with our bowl of popcorn. "Just Wright." she replied snuggling into my side. I leaned her up and took off my shirt so that I can be comfortable. She did the same. I really ain't wanna sit so I laid down pulling her on top of me and put the bowl of popcorn on her back. Occasionally feeding both of us some.

"I love you Harmony."

Her words seemed to have caught me of guard cause I got stuck. My mouth became dry and my heart skipped a beat. Damn. Am I really here right now? Am I really feeling this girl? Its been a while since I've been in this type of predicament. I'm at a loss of words. Do I tell her I love her back? ... Riley. How does Riley Feel? What about Diamond? Ion wanna break her heart... But I gotta make myself happy first. Ima have to let her off easy.

"Harmony?" Carter said pulling me from my thoughts. I looked down at her and she was staring into my eyes, like she's reading me. "Yo.." I replied smiling faintly at her. "I said I love you.." she whispered. "I'm sorry ma. I love you too." I kissed her forehead then sat the bowl on the floor then I held her tight. 'My baby' is what ima call her.

Carter and Harmony Hamilton. Too cute.
