She grew and realized that life was no joke.
The thorns in her path pricked her every turn she took.
She felt miserable and in disarray,
The reality she dreamed wasn't the one served.

Her universe kept crumbling,
Rubik lent a hand yet she couldn't piece it together.
She drowned in her own fears and anxiety,
Enough was never enough,
She felt there's better somewhere.

Her heart was myopic to the glee that was close-by,
The joy she overlooked,
The bliss that came with accepting oneself
And the elation that came with knowing oneself.

So she keeps at it,
Through the rubble she digs,
Continually trying to fetch what's within without.
She yearns to be found, but the occasional high has her in space.
