She would have never even imagined landing a legal apprenticeship at one of the most prestigious and youngest race stalls in the history of Formula 1. But here she was.

Maryam Norris sat in the rooftop-lobby of Sunset Tower in Monaco. Anxiously she was waiting for her supervisor. The legal head of Red Bull Racing, Katherine Williams and she couldn't believe it herself: the one and only Christian Horner - team principal since now already 17 years. Even though she wasn't the biggest fan of his leadership style and generally the whole team philosophy of Red Bull Racing but soon sitting on a table with these two starting her next career steps was just UNBELIEVABLE.
A thousand thoughts went through Maryams mind and the all too familiar imposter syndrome started to kick in. As a 25-year-old Austrian law student, Maryam would have never even dared to dream that she could get the opportunity to work as a legal advisory trainee at Red Bull Racing. Yet, here she was, about to organize her employee onboarding process and a few legal matters she will be responsible for before the famous Monaco Grand Prix in just five days.

As Maryam waited, she couldn't help but look out the window squinting her eyes at the bright sunshine pouring into the rooftop lobby. The beautiful view of the city was breathtaking. And she was feeling grateful for the opportunity that had been given to her. All of her hard work, the tears, the sorrow not being able to afford her studies at the University of Vienna - it had finally paid off, and she couldn't be more excited to be a part of such a prestigious and exciting team.
"I will make my debut at Monaco GP.. I just ... " she sighed but soon got interrupted by both Katherina and Christian entering the lobby.
Katherine was a kind and experienced woman in her forties. Maryam already met her before when she was invited to the application interview in Fuschl am See, a small village near Salzburg/Austria. Maryam had quickly grown to admire and respect Katherine. Maryam stood up and greeted them warmly. "You are an ambitious woman I heard, Maryam", Christian said. Maryam chuckled, not knowing what to say to such a flattering compliment. She couldn't believe all THIS was actually happening. "You'll be a great asset to our company!", he continued without waiting for a response from Maryam.
They sat down and started to discuss the formalities right away. Maryam was impressed how well structured Katherine and Christian went through their agenda without shifting off - not even once. She knew this job is going to contribute to her professional skills in so many ways.
She couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. Their work ethics were unique. And as a legal apprentice, she knew that her role was vital in ensuring that everything was running smoothly for the team in so many ways. The pressure would be high, but Maryam swear to herself to be confident in her abilities because she wanted to prove herself.
As their meeting came to an end, Katherine gave Maryam a reassuring smile. "I am confident in your abilities.", she added. Maryam left the to the elevator of Sunset Tower, feeling more determined and motivated than ever before. She was ready for the challenge. Maryam felt like she was living in a dream, and she was determined to make the most of this incredible opportunity.
Smiling to herself and lost in her thoughts she suddenly bumped into something. "Huh?", undeniably startled she looked up. Green eyes, so deep that with one gaze she would fall right into them. She wasn't the type of girl that stares at someone in general. Eye contact makes her nervous and uncomfortable. But.. she.. just... could not stop. What's going on with her, she thought.

Coming to a halt for a second which felt like a whole eternity, Maryam made it out of her short moment of paralysis and realized who she just bumped into.
helloooo guys! Hope you liked the first chapter of this story. I've never wrote before, always read tons of books and wattpad stories and I always dreamt about writing something one day myself.
For this story I am planning on letting EVERYTHING open. we don't know yet who the male counterpart of Maryam going to be. Even I don't really know yet. So there's a lot of room for you guys deciding where this story might going to go!
