The FBI's Behavioral Science Unit was a sterile environment. White walls, beige carpet, and harsh fluorescent lighting made it feel more like a hospital than a workplace. Will and Hannibal stood in the center of the room as technicians poured over files and evidence. The atmosphere was tense, as they waited for any new information. When they finally entered, they handed over their findings. Will sifted through the files, his brow furrowed in concentration. Hannibal, however, seemed to be growing increasingly calm, his eyes, growing dark, showed the opposite.

"Children trafficking," the technician said, reading from his report. "The victims were all part of a large organization involved in the kidnapping and selling of children."

Hannibal's jaw clenched as he heard this. He couldn't help but think of the various ways he could make of their remains a semblance of a gastronomical meal to serve and he couldn't help but smirk. Will noticed the sudden shift in Hannibal's demeanor and turned to him. "What's going on in that mind of yours, Hannibal?"

The tall man remained quite for a moment before finally speaking. "Perhaps Y/N was a victim of this organization. that's why she was so guarded about her past."

Will's expression was neutral. "then it's may be the reason why she killed them."

Hannibal bristled at the suggestion. "Either way, it doesn't excuse the fact that we should start from here."

Will raised an eyebrow. "I'm not disagreeing with you, but why the sudden passion? Hearing you now sound like you grew sentimental."

Hannibal didn't answer right away, instead choosing to study the files in front of him. "what we would not do for a victim, isn't it? Will"

Will nodded slowly. "I see. So, what are you going to do about it?"

Hannibal stood up, gathering the files in his hands. "I need to do some research by my side. I may try to reach out to Y/N, see if I can gather some more."

Will watched as Hannibal left the room, his mind already focused on the next step in the investigation.

Will woke up from his nightmare drenched in sweat, his heart racing as he tried to catch his breath. He looked around and saw his dogs, Winston and Rufus, who were both concerned about their owner's well-being. As he tried to calm down he read 2:12, before his phone started ringing, showing Jack Crawford's name on the screen.

"Hello," Will answered, his voice shaky.

"Will, we found another body in the garden of Y/N's house," Jack said in a serious tone.

Will's nightmare suddenly came back to him, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. "I'll be there in ten minutes," he replied before hanging up.

As he got dressed, his mind kept going back to the nightmare he just had. He couldn't shake the image of the young girl, witnessing her parents being killed and then taking matters into her own hands. He wondered if there was any connection between his dream and the murders they were investigating.

When he arrived, Jack was waiting for him. He briefed him on the new body they found, but Will couldn't really focus.

His heart raced as he examined the grotesque scene in the garden. The victim's abdomen was sliced open, and his organs were strewn about and some missing. The message scrawled on the wall in the victim's blood only added to the horror."This is MY sketch," Will repeated to himself, trying to make sense of it.

As he scanned the area, he noticed something glinting in the mud. It was a note, dropped by the killer. Will and Crawford quickly retrieved it and read the contents. It was an address of a hospital and the name of Y/N, "We need to get to the hospital immediately," Will shouted, his voice urgent as he dialed Hannibal's number. ''Y/N's in danger."Hannibal's calm voice came through the speaker. "What happened?" "We found a note at the crime scene. It has an address of a hospital and her name on it. We need to get there fast."

Without another word, Hannibal hung up and rushed to his car. Will and Crawford followed suit, and they drove as fast as they could to the hospital. As they arrived, they saw Y/N being wheeled out on a stretcher, her body covered in blood. Hannibal's face was stoic as he followed her into the operating room, checking her faint pulse ."Will, what happened" Crawford asked, his voice strained."I don't know," Will replied, his mind racing. "But it looks like the cases are linked." He whispered to him as he watched Hannibal and nurses drive Y/N urgently to another operating room hoping to save her life. Jack nodded continuously sharing the same thought with the younger agent.

''Chesapeake Ripper...''

Will and Hannibal were sitting in the sterile waiting hallway of the hospital, their eyes glued to the door behind which Y/N was undergoing surgery. The psychiatrist took a sip of his coffee not minding the blood stains on his suit shirt, his sleeves up exposing his veiny arms as he leaned back in his chair.

"You seem troubled, Will. Is everything okay?"Will sighed and rubbed his face. "I had a nightmare last night. It was about Y/N, I saw her parents getting killed in front of her eyes, and she stabbed the men to death."Hannibal raised an eyebrow.

"It could be a manifestation of your subconscious trying to make sense of the case." Will shook his head. "It felt too real, Hannibal. And now this, with the victim in her backyard and the note mentioning her name and the hospital address."Hannibal leaned forward, his gaze intense.

"Do you think Y/N is in danger?"Will nodded only making the doctor's grin grow wider. "Yes. And I think someone is trying to track her. We can't deny the fact that Chesapeake Ripper is involved for some reasons."They fell into silence, each lost in their own thoughts, until the surgeon emerged from the operating room.

"She made it through the surgery," he said gravely, "but it was touch and go for a while. She lost a lot of blood, and there was significant damage to her internal organs."Will and Hannibal both stood up, "Can we see her?" the dark-haired guy asked. The surgeon nodded hesitantly. "Yes, but only briefly. She's still very weak."They followed him into the recovery room, where the girl layed pale and fragile on the bed, hooked up to machines and tubes. Will's approached slowly ''I don't know what to think about it'' he whispered, the blond man approached him putting a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Will, you need to rest. After all. The night brings advice." Will nodded his hand tight on his jacket, walking slowly outside closing the door after him, leaving them both alone.

Hannibal walked slowly closer to her bed, his tall frame casting a shadow over her smaller figure. He leaned in close to her ear and whispered softly, "I'm sorry." His voice was gentle, almost soothing, but there was a glint of something sinister in his eyes.

As he muttered those words, his mind drifted back to earlier that day. He had drugged Y/N's food and brought her to the scene of the murder, ensuring that she would be found alive and well. It was all part of his plan to eliminate any suspicion the police may have had on her.

He took a seat beside her, his hand gently resting on hers. His eyes fluttered closed, and he drifted into a peaceful sleep. The only sound in the room was the rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor, and the soft breathing of the sleeping patient. He knew what he had done was unethical, but he couldn't help feeling a sense of satisfaction at his success. He was the master manipulator, the puppeteer who controlled the strings of fate...
