The sound of taunting echoes around the alleyway, causing panic to fill every inch of my body. This is what I get for walking in a different part of town today. Why couldn't the construction on my street just wait til after I got home? My thoughts come to a sudden halt when the taunting and violence stops. The group of people around me start running, looking over in my direction.
I turn around to see who they were running from, only to see a purple and blue orb behind me. As I start to back away, something falls out of the orb and onto me. Well, more like someone. "Hey! Get off of me! You're squishing me!" I yell at the being, almost completely breathless from the impact. "Sorry, mate! That's my bad," the other replies, getting off of me and brushing the dirt off of his hands and knees.
I take a closer look at the boy. His eyes are a rustic brown, his hair is coal black, and he's wearing a big crooked smile on his face. I will admit, he is really cute. But enough checking him out. I need answers.
And I need them now.
