━━━ 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝘆, you tugged onto your shirt and let your pretty feet take you wherever.
as the seconds passed, you began to regret your stupid decision to not wear a jacket or bring an umbrella at least. but you just had to get out of that house. your eyes began to sting from the salty rain and your even saltier tears.
after conversations like that, you had always caught yourself wishing that your dad could have just died. knowing that it wasn't possible, it sent a sharp pain to your heart.
then you began thinking about how you even got yourself in this situation in the first place. maybe your dad was right. maybe this job was actually pathetic. you shuddered at the thought of accepting your dad's offer, it really wasn't something you were up for.
the rain didn't stop, it only got worse and you were forced to make a sharp turn, where the tiny stores were, shining at the end of the street with its bright lights. you looked into each and every store from the window, doing a little window shopping for yourself.
it wasn't until you saw jungkook when you finally ripped your eyes from the shoe store, praying that he didn't notice you. you clutched onto your shirt even harder and continued to walk before feeling a hand on your back.
you turned your back briefly, your eyes soon meeting jungkook's worried ones. there he stood, in the pouring rain, bags in hands and worry and concern filling his eyes. "y/n? what are you doing here? wheres your jacket? are you crying?"
the boy clutched on your shirt, questioning you as if he was interrogating you. you sniffed, quickly wiping your face and ripping your gaze away from jungkook. "jungkook please go, i dont want you to see me like this."
jungkook shook his head and grabbed his umbrella from his bag, opening it and holding it for you. "no y/n, i'm not leaving you here in the rain! god knows what could happen to you!"
you didn't respond, only began walking with jungkook following after you, still holding the umbrella over your soggy and wet hair. "can i at least take you h-"
"no!" you shrieked, not wanting to step foot into that house as of right now. jungkook put his hand on his forehead and let out a sigh of frustration. seeing you like this sent a flame in his heart, knowing he couldn't help you or whatever you were going through.
you shook your head and shuddered at the chilly weather, making jungkook put his bags down in a hurry and take his jacket off, wrapping it around your body. "come with me." he sighed and grabbed your hand, not letting go even though you were trying to refuse.
soon you found yourself in his warm car. he put your seat belt on, ignoring your constant comments about how you could do it yourself and closed the door for you. you met him on the other side of the car and he started it up.
you looked outside the window, wondering as to why jungkook was being so....caring?
'was this the same jungkook i'm supposed to be taking care of? oh god....did i get the wrong person?'
you shook your head, knowing deep down he was exactly who you thought he was, but that didn't explain why he was being so caring to you compared to all the other girls he spent his time with.
soon you were both at his house, making your way into the family sized house. jungkook closed the door behind you and put his bags of shoes on the counter. he turned back around, his gaze soon meeting yours.
you stood there, unsure of what to do now and awkward silence soon found its way, filling the air. jungkook turned back around and searched through his cabinets before grabbing two glasses and finding a bottle of whiskey to pour into the cups.
