ah . . . i suppose this is my first journal entry of the year , well . . . sort of .

now i 've never done one of these things before , so i 'm not all too sure how to begin . . . maybe introducing myself ? is that what people do when they write these things ?

i guess it 's a better start than nothing , huh ?

well then . . . hello , journal , my name 's rue fuko and i 'm currently fifteen years old at the time of writing this entry .

and i 'm aspiring to be a pro hero in the future . . . far in the future , that is . for as of right now , my current goal is to get into u.a highschool .

which doesn 't seem like an easy task . . . and it truly isn 't , or at least hasn 't proved to be easy in the past considering they accept only the best of the best . but that 's the reason i 'm sending in my application , after all , the entrance exam is next month .

although i 'm unsure with how far i 'll get , considering my quirk is called jinxed luck . . . almost seems impossible to get in with such a quirk , huh ?

though that 's one of my main goals in truth . . . being able to prove everyone wrong and actually get into the hero course ! especially being able to prove it wrong to him .

i do have faith , yet i would be lying still if i said i wasn 't nervous ,, if anything i 'm terrified . . . another reason i decided keeping you would be a good idea , at least this way my thoughts won 't eat me alive if i have a way to write it down ! and considering i have a passion for literature ,, a journal didn 't seem like all too bad of an idea .

hm . . . what else do people usually write about in journals ? is there a specific way to go about this ?

ah . . . i just checked the time and realized it 's getting dark already , i really should be in bed before mother gets home . . .

well then ,, i guess this is where we say goodbye for now , right ? i will be back though , of course .

i have a feeling we 'll be through a lot together . . . and that i 'll be writing in you a lot . a̶l̶l̶ ̶ g̶o̶o̶d̶ ̶ t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶s̶ ̶ t̶h̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ,̶ ̶ i̶ ̶ h̶o̶p̶e̶ !̶
