me and miyah start running to the nearest exit. it's a good thing we did track in middle school.

we made it out and the parking lot was pretty small and around it was woods

it was very dark and someone grabbed my hand and started running towards the woods they was really heavy handed

miyah was still holding my hand

more gun shots went and more people screamed it sounded far away

we ended deep in the woods and miyah fell

"oww" she said and our hand slipped out of each other's

"fuck miyah !" i whispered to myself

i ran back to go get her and the heavy handed person ran back with me.

"come on man " they said irritated

it sounded like a boy but i grabbed miyah's hand and helped her up fast.

the heavy handed boy grabbed my hand again and we started running again

after a while of running and hearing different types of gun shots we made it to the streets and i could see him because the street lights were on

he looks kinda good..

he was brownskin and he had freeforms

i looked over to miyah and she was bleeding on both her knees

" damn miyah you okay ? " i asked really concerned

"no my knees hurt from when i fell " she said

her eyes was really watery i could she wanted to cry but held it in because the boy was here and i could tell she didn't wanna go home and face momma

"we almost to my house imma walk yall there and my mom gone drop y'all off at home " he said and i turned back to him

"no, can we just stay with you if it's okay with your mom ? " i asked hoping he would say yea

i could tell he was thinking..

"yeah i guess " he said

"th-thanks" miyah said

" my friend is still at that party" i said pulling out my phone opening instagram calling her turning the volume up so miyah can hear her to.

she picked up instantly

"jaden !" i yell in the phone

"aniyah ! yall okay ? " she said with a shaky voice

"yeah we're fine, are you ? "

"yes but i'm lost " she said

"wya ?" i ask

" i'm somewhere in the woods " she said

she sounded scared and i felt bad but i heard her to someone in the background

"you okay? " i ask

"yeah someone finna take me home " she said

she sounded a little better and i felt good for her

"okay good" i say

" how are yall going home ? " she asked

"im just finna go over someone's house and stay there for tn " i replied

"oh okay call me if something happens to you or miyah" she said

"okay be safe " i said

we hung up and i exited out our messages and saw there was a new message in my message request but i'll look at that later.

i turn to the boy and he was just looking down at his phone

"y'all ready to go ? " he asked looking up at me and miyah

"yeah" miyah said

we started walking and it was kinda awkward so i started a conversation..

"what's your name ? " i asked to the boy we was walking with

"im damarion, but you can call me mari, what's you guys name ? " he asked twisting his freefroms around with his finger

"i'm aniyah and she's miyah" i said pointing at her

"yall pretty af. " he straight up said

i started blushing but i covered it with my hands

"damn you blush that easily ? " he asked with a smile

we exchange instagram and we talked and got to know each other more.
