Next Day Morning

Capt.Rajveer's Room

His eyes opened feeling someone's caring, warm & friendly touch on his forehead.

"Dr. Shalini aap..," He spoke blinking his eyes

"Kyun..aapko kya laga Capt. ki kaun ho sakta hai..?," She asked with a sweet smile on her face

She had already checked his bp & fever which were normal & now trying to wake him up calling him slowly, at the same time stroking
his forehead affectionately with a friendly touch.

He smiled a little though without answering anything & tried to get
up. Shalini helped him placing her one hand on his back while another on his shoulder.

"Ek patient ke paas..Dr. ke alawa
aur kaun hoga..," He chuckled answering her ques this time while leaning to the headboard of the bed

"Ohh Capt. Plz..Don't declare yourself a patient...," She spoke shaking her head

He smiled covering himself with duvet as he realised that his shirt's buttons were open. Shalini also noticed the thing.

"Anyway how are you feeling now..?," She asked sweetly

"Much better..," He replied waving his fingers through his hair

"Neend kaisi aayi..?," She asked further

"Neend..," He repeated the word thoughtfully, looking at her

And she tilted her head as a sign that yes he heard it right.

"I don't think ki mujhe hosh bhi raha hai raat mein that I am even alive..," He grinned

Shalini passed a small smile.

He looked at the clock & turned other side of the bed closing the buttons of his shirt.

"What are you doing Capt..?," Shalini asked screwing her brows

"Hiding myself..," He chuckled again

"Stop it Capt. & be serious..you know v well what I am asking..," She said, herself getting up from the stool

"Going to the washroom for getting ready..," after completing his work
he answered her now facing her

"Don't you think Capt. that you need some rest...?," She said with little shocking expressions on her face

"We are Soldiers, Dr..itne itne mein agar hum rest karne lag gaye tab to
ho gaya..," He said smilingly moving towards her

"So what we are Soldiers..Are not we humans ?..Yeah, I agree that we are trained for the tough situations but at last the truth is that we are also humans & there is nothing wrong if sometimes we behave like normal human beings if it doesn't concern our duty..har baar mahaan banna ya mahanta dikhana jaroori to nahin..," She exclaimed in a caring tone

He kept looking at her thoughtfully for few seconds then smiled & took her hand between his hands making her surprise.

"Actually you are right, Shalini ( after a pause ) Thanku so much. Thanks a lot for always standing
by my side..Thankss for always taking caring of me..Thankss Much.," Rajveer said in a gratitude tone

His whole gesture was showing how meaningful his every single word was.

"Pleasure is always mine..," She spoke with the sweetest smile on her face
