Chapter 2: Memories

" Phew!  Finally making it to the subway station was crazy! I was almost late for my first day of work! "Luckily I made it just in time, and hmm, why are there a lot of people here?" 

Emma heads to the Police Department and was looking around to see the cowards shouting at the chief police for making a speech. " What the heck is going on here?" She taught to herself. 

" TWO TEENS AND CHILD HAVE GOT MISSISING AND YOU'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT!?" The woman shouted at the police officer. 

" IS OUR CHILDERN EVEN SAFE HERE TO BEGIN WITH!? THOSE POOR TEENS AND CHILD THEY DON'T DEREVRE THIS!" The man shouts at them in protest. 

" And you promise me that you will found my missing daughter! Some shitty cheif officer you are! You lied to me!" A blonde woman started to get emotional. 

Emma looks at this blonde woman and in worries and looks back at the cheif officer. 

Mr. Blake took a deep breathes and shouts at the cowards. " ENOUGH! ALL OF YOU LET ME SPEAK UP FIRST! BEFORE JUMPING ON GUN!" Sighs deeply and starts to speak normally. " Am deeply sorry for tragedy has fallen upon for the students of Crystal River High. " We're doing the best we can to investigate this serious matter as soon as possible! On the half of Department Of Criminal Intelligence we will get the bottom of this who harm those poor teens and children. He raised his right hand to the cowards. " I swear on my right hand and the victim's will be found you have my word." But you need give us more time and to find the evidence and proof as well, if you found anything that relates to the this case please let's us know and thank you. " I also wanna mention that we do have the parents for questioning and we will get the answers that we need." The cowards of people understand this statements and take their leaves. Expect for the blonde haired woman who was standing there glaring at Mr. Blake's. Started to mutter the same word over and over again. " He lies...lair...lair...it's not fair!" She starts to shout and holds her head. Emma chosen to go help her out and started to walk over to her. " M-Ms calm down you're making a sence and some of the people are looking at you thinking that you're crazy." Tries to comfort her but Emma hands gets slap away from the blonde hair lady. " DON'T TOUCH ME! I DON'T NEED YOUR PITY COPS AND DETECTIVE ARE ALL THE SAME!" She stroms off out the cowards while everyone was looking at her. Some people were talking about the hell is problem and other say she crazy in the brain and while some said she mentally unwell. Emma stood there stun for a moment and gets bit mad. " Well excuse me for trying to help!" She shouted at her and starts to head to police department to clock in. One of officers walk up to emma and started ask her a question. " Hey redhead are you the new detective that we hired last week ago?" Emma looks at the officer and nodded. " Yep that me!" The officer looks kinda annoyed but sighs and continued to ask questions. " So your name is Emma Gray is that correct?" Emma nods in respond. " Alright follow me we're heading to the cheif office so you can get to know him and also he will assigned you a case as well and tells you about your own office as well. Do you understand me Ms. Gray?" Emma walks along side with him. " Yes sir! I understand the whole details." Officer look at her and said this to her. " You better." Heads upstairs as the two walk down the hallways Emma noticed a tall dark haired man standing there while holding a suitcase. The officer noticed it and smack Emma at back of her head. " Ow! Hey what was that for!?-" Emma gets Interrupted by the officer. " Stay focus and stops staring at people it's really weird. So quiet being weirdo rookie and get yourself ready once you meet with Mr. Blake!" Emma shook at him and sighs and rubs her head. " Okay Okay no need get so work up dude geezz..." They finally at Mr. Blake office door and starts to knock at his door while waiting for this respond. " Yes who is it?" He asked. " Boss we got the newbie detective that you hired last week ago sir." 

There was a slient for moment then he responded with by saying this. " I see then very well please let Ms. Gray in please." 

The officer nods and opens the chief door and as Emma steps inside of the office as be closes the door behind her. " Ah Emma Gray we meet again I see? Please have a seat." Emma sits down and looks at him and started to ask him questions. " Wait you know me? Snice when? And how do you know my name?" He shock about her statements. " You don't remember anything back in your college Ms. Gray? Back then when you slove a missing college students under two hours. " Do you know how talented you are even your your professor back in college recommend me to give you a chance. Snice you like solving crimes don't you not?" Emma started to get nervous. " O-Oh really I see then haha!" Of course I love solving cases it's have always been my dreams and am very passionate when comes to my work sir!" Mr. Blake smiled at her and nods in a agreement. " That good news to hear Ms. Gray we can always need a bright and young lady such as yourself. " Starts to pull out the case documents and flies. Emma starts to get bit worried about that blonde hair lady and wanted to ask some few questions herself what happened outside of the police department. " Um sir before we get started about my assignment sir. I-I wanna ask a even few questions is that okay with you sir?" Mr. Blake looks at her in confused but nods. " Alright what's your question Ms. Gray?" He asked while giving her his full attention. " Well you see sir when I was on my way to the Police Department and the crowds of people yelling and screaming at you but most importantly who was that blonde hair woman?" If am being honest sir it's seems she knows you or you knew her sir?" While looking back at him with a serious face and tone. " And she kept on calling your lair for some reason as well." She also continued to ask him this. " What's going on here sir?" Mr. Blake was shocked that she even asking him this questions and starts to sweat a little bit and sighs while holding the inch of his nose. " Yes I used to know her before you came along Ms. Gray, at the time there a unsolved case about a woman lost her baby girl at a Willow Gardens Hospital. The blonde woman who made a complaint to the doctors and nurse accusing them of " Switching or taking her baby away from her with no evidence or proof for that matter." Emma was shock and worried. " What's her name sir?" Emma asked. " Ms. Nightgale she works at Crystal River High as a history teacher in room 201. But she not that important right now. " But sir what about-" Emma gets cut off by Mr. Blake. " Emma now it's isn't time to talk about Ms. Nightgale and her unslove case that what not matters and not so important right now. I hope you can understand it." Emma was really disappointed by the cheif behavior and sighs. " I guess so..." Mr. Blake hands her the document and flies for the recent case that is ongoing. " Perfect on let's get you assigned for the case for the disappearance of Eric Baker and Dorothy Baker." Emma grabbed the flies and document and starts to read them and taught of something. " Wait sir about another teenager!?" Start get suspicious at the cheif behavior. Mr. Blake raised both his hands in the air. " Whoa Whoa there relax we're doing this one by one at time Ms. Gray that way our officer won't get overworked that includes you as well." Emma gets embarrassed and apologize to her boss. " Ah sorry about that sir! I never taught of it. Alright you're right about that" Mr. Blake sighs and smirks at her. " Perfect now I shall have one of my officer escort you to your office Ms. Gray." Emma nods and starts to get up. " Welcome to the team Ms. Gray" He smiles at her. " Thank you for having me sir." The officer opens the door and takes emma outside of Mr. Blake office as he closed the door. Mr. Blake sitting there slient and sighs deeply. " She very impressive...I wonder how long she will last in this police department. " 

Downstairs in the police department

" And here your office Interrogate and I will let you know when it's time to the Eric parents." Emma nodded as she place her stuff on the tables and starts to go over the case flies and documents. " Hmmm...let's see here, interesting the bodies of Eric and Dorothy weren't found yet." Keeps looking at flies and flips the pages. " So their neighbors reported them for screams last night around 11:00 pm interesting." Emma hears knocking at her office door and it's scared for a bit cause it's was loud. " A-Ah yes!? Who goes there!?" She asked panicking. The door swag open and a tall dark man show up in her office. " Omg! Don't scared me like that you crazy psycho!" She shouts at him. " Ah sorry my bad I didn't mean to scared you but are you Ms. Gray?" He asked her. 

Emma looks at him and realize it's the same guy from the hallway that she pass by with the officer. " Ah y-yes! That me how can I help you?" She smiles at him. He looks at her unimpressed look on his face. Emma was shock at his reaction and starts gets annoyed. " The hell is your problem tall man?!" Gezz I can't catch break with those people being such asshole to me. " I don't have a problem what so ever. I came to informed you who I am cause a lawyer for the Baker Family named Andrew lee." Emma shock and taught to herself huh I didn't know that Baker Family hired a lawyer. " Ah please to meet you Andrew! You can call me Emma by the way. Soo you were hired by the baker family correct?" She asked. He nodded and truns to leave. " Good luck Interrogating them if you can that it is." While facing the other way. " I will warn you that I will be taking this job seriously so I won't hesitate to take you down in court. " 

Emma shock and glares at him. " Yeah Yeah I get it gezzz." Drinks a bottle of water as he heads outside of her office.  

The officer steps inside of Emma office and to tell her news. " Alright Ms. Gray it's time to start the interrogation." Emma place her water bottle down and grabs her documents and flies and fixes her hair. 

" Alright! Am ready take to them." As the officer escort her to the interrogation room. Emma opens the door and saw Eric parents we're crying and they look up at her bit worried. Emma place her the documents and flies on the table and sits down and looks at the parents. " Alright let's get this started shall we?"
