Durani POV

The sound of my alarm clock screaming at me to get up reminds me that it's a new start at a new school yet again for the fifth time since school started two months ago.

With a groan I pull the blankets over my head to block out the suns rays that have started to shine through the bent, cracked and missing blinds that somewhat cover the window across from my small twin size bed that I've had since I was like six.

After pushing snooze a few more times I get up and head down the hall as quietly as I can as to not wake up my mom who is most likely sleeping off a hangover.

Closing the bathroom door and locking it I turn on the shower turning the hot water knob all the way and pray that today I will be able take a hot shower not a warm or cold one but a hot one but unlucky for me it was as cold as the fast approaching winter wind outside.

Quickly washing my hair and body, I turn the water off just in time to hear the front door open the slam shut which means my mom wasn't alone or she had woken up early to start her day with her good friend Jack Daniels.

I press my ear to the door and listen for any movement coming from the hall, not hearing anything I crack the door open and rush back to my room after taking a peck to make sure that the cost was clear, getting dressed in just under five minutes I grab my keys and head to school or hell as most teens my age refer to it.

I guess the only good thing about starting at this new school is that I have a friend or at least I think he is a friend, I meet Liam on my second day here while I was out doing some last minute shopping with the last of the money I had saved up from the job I had over the summer.

After I meet Liam he showed me around this small town, well I guess 2700 people as the towns population isn't small but it is when you come from a big city like Boston where it would take years to meet everyone compared to a few days or hours like it would here.

Pulling into the now swamped parking lot in my old run down 1998 Honda civic I find a parking spot between two very expensive and very new Range Rovers and park while cringing at the sound my engine makes as I turn it off.

Stepping out of the car with my bag over my shoulder I slam my door closed, keeping my head down not wanting to make eye contact with those who are now my peers for the next few months or weeks who knows with as often as we move it could be only a matter of hours before my mother comes and pulls me from some class and tells me my shits already packed and on it's way to god knows where.

"Hey girl I was looking for you" comes the cheerful voice of Liam from my left walking along side his bike.

"Hey you" I bump shoulders with him and walk along side him as he walks his bike over to the rack and locks it in place.

Walking down the hall Liam points out all the groups of your typical high school clichés such as the jocks, cheerleaders, popular, rich, and the very handsome and oh so mouth watering bad boys that run this school the brothers known as The Kings not just because of their bad boy ways or the fact that they have money but because their last name just so happens to be King.

Thankfully Liam and I have the same homeroom so I wasn't alone for the first two classes, bell after bell rang until finally the ever annoying bell rang just after third period signaling it was time for lunch.

I sat at a table off to the left hand side of the cafeteria with Liam, Henry and another girl who's name I can't remember for the life of me when the side door that leads out to the football field opens and in walk the bad boys of Eastland High The King boys.

I've always been a loner at all the schools I've ever been to and I've never been known to hang in the social crowds but now with the exception of Liam and Henry I've talked more and heard more gossip in one day then I have in the last almost four years of high school and the three years I spent in middle school.

I can't seem to stop my eyes from wondering over to the table surrounded by girls and a few boys whom are all crowded around The Kings. I can't help but watch them as they sit there joking and laughing around with there friends.

I watch as the popular girl know as Lesly walks over to one of the brothers who I believe is named Dante and wrap her arms around his neck while giving him a kiss on the lips, which for some reason causes a knot to form in the pit of my stomach.

I haven't even been at this school for longer then a few hours and I've already developed a seemingly unhealthy crush on all three of The King brothers who I doubt will ever notice a girl like me in their life time.

"Durani have you been listening to me" Liam asks snapping me out of my daze.

"Hu what" he shakes his head and looks over his shoulder then turns back to me giving me a knowing look.

"Yeah their are all kinds of yummy but they are also the biggest man sluts around" with a very un lady like snort I shake my head in agreement giving that from what I've seen and heard so far it's very true that they are man sluts.

"So are we still on for Friday" I hear Henry ask Liam as I'm taking the last bite of my sandwich.

"Yeah I can't wait I've been dying to see what happens next like if Tessa doesn't want Harden I'll take him that boy is yummy" the look on Liam's face is one of lust mixed with something else and I can't help but laugh at the face he makes.

Once my laughter has died down some I just happen to look up and who do you think my eyes lock with yes my friends, ladies and gents, they just so happened to lock on to a pair of crystal blue ones.

I'm not sure which of The King brothers I just locked eyes with but wow those eyes can lock with mine any time even if it is just for a millisecond like just now. Dropping my gaze to the now all to interesting table in front of me, I can't help the heat that runs to my checks causing me to blush.

There's no freaking way he was looking at me right? I mean it could of just been one of those one in a life time glitches or wait maybe he was looking at someone behind me. I turn to look behind me seeing the wall and nothing else so that answers that question.

Was I laughing to loud? It's a very real possibility lord knows I don't know how to act around people. Did I snort? oh please don't let that be the reason he looking this way, because I snorted and made a fool of myself sounding like a stuffed pig, for the next twelve minutes that remand of lunch a million questions dance around in my head as to why he would of been looking over to our small group of social outcast just as I so happened to look up.

"Hey D you okay you don't look so good, I bet it was that sandwich, who knows when they made that thing" tuning out Liam's rant about the government and experiments I gather my things and leave the lunch room just as the bell rang.
