“SO, HOW WAS THE CONVERSATION WITH THE psychopath?” Nick asked as he and Helia wandered through the hallways of Nevermore, the bell for the end of the last class of the day having just rang. Since the whole conversation on the way to the hospital wing, Helia’s mind had been stuck on Wednesday Addams.
“How do you think it was?” Helia asked, wanting to get his take on her.
“Okay, well…” Nick tapped his chin, pondering. “I think she definitely threatened you at least twice, possibly tried to break one or two bones, gave you a few tips on where to hide a body and definitely… definitely asked about your murder spree in your teens.”
“You’ve got the last one absolutely correct,” Helia laughed. “But everything else, surprisingly no. She was a lot more… indifferent. Seriously, you could’ve thrown a chair at her and I don’t think she would have reacted.”
“No, you’re right,” Nick said, feigning realization. “She would save the hiding a body tips for the third date, for sure.”
“Because you would know what a third date looked like,” Helia smirked, nudging him.
“Well, that stung,” Nick touched his chest. “I don’t know why you’re joking about that. It’s not like you’ve gotten close to a third date either.”
