Shuichi Saihara had always been a reserved and introspective person, preferring to keep his emotions bottled up rather than risk exposing his vulnerabilities. "I, um, I think you're pretty cute too, Kokichi," he said, feeling a flutter in his stomach.

Kokichi leaned in a little closer, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Do you want to know a secret, Shuichi?"

Shuichi nodded, feeling a little nervous. He had never been good at keeping secrets, especially from someone as perceptive as Kokichi.

"I've had a bit of a crush on you for a while now," Kokichi said, his voice low and conspiratorial.

Shuichi's eyes widened in surprise. He had never expected Kokichi to be so open about his feelings.

"I, uh, I don't know what to say," Shuichi stammered.

Kokichi just smiled and reached out to take Shuichi's hand in his own. "You don't have to say anything, Shuichi. Just know that I'm here for you, whenever you're ready."

Shuichi felt a warmth spreading through his chest at Kokichi's words. It was a feeling he had never experienced before, but he knew that it was something special.
