I mean...

He saw my body many years ago. My chest has grown a little and the shape of my body has changed because of working out. 'Buti na lang ay naka-bra ako and my scrub pants haven't come off me yet. Mabilisan na lang akong nagbihis at inayos ang scrub suit, inilagay ko iyon sa drawer at tinignan ang sarili sa salamin kung ayos lang ba ang mukha ko.

Not expected, namumula ako.

Should I open the door? Nakakahiya.

P'wede bang kainin na lang ako ng lupa ngayon?

Pero paano nangyari 'yon?!

I'm sure Warren locked the door before he went out, huh. I took a deep breath before opening the door. I noticed that Ralpkiel was on the side of the door, leaning against the wall. Sinubukan kong i-lock ang doorknob sa loob at pinihit ko sa labas, phew!

"The lock of my door is broken." I said out of nowhere. Humarap ako kay Ralpkiel at ako na ang unang nagsalita sa aming dalawa. "Please, come in if you have something to say." I turned my back on and I returned to my seat. I took a ballpen and a record book, I looked for a blank page and wrote something there.

Ginawa ko lang 'yon para may masabing ginagawa ako. My legs were shaking even though I was sitting, when I felt that Ralpkiel was sitting in front of me, I sat up to get closer to the table. I looked at him. His face also changed a little. "You should know how to knock next time, Doctor Ezchavez. I'm the one asking for forgiveness for what happened, please, act like nothing happened." Iniwas ko rin kaagad ang tingin ko sa kaniya nang sabihin iyon.

"Yeah, I'm sorry too." He adjusted his seat. "I'm here to ask you about your patient in the ICU,"

"Oh, the one who had a VSD? What about him?"

"Yesterday." Nagulat ako nang tumayo siya at tumayo na. I frowned. "That's what you need to ask?" I mean, I didn't expect him to say anything more to me but I was just wondering because I was surprised that he came here to ask that.

"Yeah," Ralpkiel said.

I stood up and looked at him, I gave him a small smile. "I heard you just got here earlier. You should be resting and let work be tomorrow."

Why is he working right away? Isn't he tired from their trip from Japan? He must be in a hurry. I don't care if he goes to work right away, I just think he needs a break so he can work properly. Desisyon naman na niya ang magtrabaho kaagad, bakit ko ba pinapakialaman 'yon? I should have shut up too.

He nodded slowly. "Yeah, thanks," palabas na si Ralpkiel ng pinto nang bumukas kaagad 'yon.

"Doc, uuwi na ba tayo—" Warren couldn't speak anymore when he saw Ralpkiel in my office. Surprise was written on his face. "Good evening, Dr. Ezchavez," he greeted him. Tinanguan lang siya ni Ralpkiel bago na tuluyang lumabas.

"I'll just check my patients then let's go," I said.

Warren just nodded at me before he opened the door for me to go out. I just went to see my patients with a nurse, I just gave her a reminder. Pagkatapos nun ay bumalik na ako sa office para patayin ang ilaw at kuhanin ang mga gamit ko. I hadn't even left the hospital when I immediately saw Warren waiting at the exit of the hospital. Nang makita niya ako ay nilapitan niya ako. Sabay kaming naglakad papunta sa parking.

Binigay ko sa kaniya ang susi at pinatunog niya ang sasakyan. I caught sight of Ralpkiel walking back to the hospital. Warren opened the car door for me so I got in there. Warren drove so calmly, I didn't even feel like I was on a ride. Sobrang smooth niyang magdrive, I swear. Muntikan na ako makatulog pero nilabanan ko dahil mas gugustuhin kong matulog sa condo kaysa rito sa sasakyan.
