When Sun Lighten Up The Moon

Prolouge

I'm alone. That's what I used to believe, even now. All I have is myself. Love?  That's not existing. They always say “Family is all I have”. But, what about me? I don't have family, I have parents and they're completely assholes. I don't want to remember them again. It's awful, and painful.

“Hahahaha! That's funny!”

“What? Hahahaha! I didn't know you were a good friend.”

“Hoy! Pare, maglalaro ka mamaya? Gym tayo!”

“Sige ba!”

Ingay. Tawanan dito, tawanan doon. But, as I went inside the classroom, everyone went silent like I am something they need to afraid of. Umupo lang ako sa isang bakanteng upuan sa dulo, para mabawasan ang ingay na naririnig ko. Nagsimula na akong magbasa ng isang libro tungkol sa subject ko ngayon at nagsimula na rin silang magingay ulit. I am currently on my first year of my college, legal management. I want to become a layer. It's my second months in this school and environment.

Pagkatapos ng ilang minutong pagbabasa pumasok na ang professor ng unang subject namin.

“Okay class, listen. We have a transferee here. Listen to him. Mr. Barren, you may now introduce yourself to your classmates in front.” She announced. Pagkatapos niyang magsalita ay may pumunta nang maputing lalaki sa unahan.

“My name is  Carchet Atlas Barren.” He started with a playful smile on his lip. He is cute. I'll give that to him. But, I'm not interested.

Nagpakilala pa siya at nagsabi ng ilan sa mga hilig niya at halata naman na ang lahat ng atensyon ay nasa kaniya kahit ang aming prof ay nakatitig lang sa kaniya. Matipuno rin siya at hindi mapagkakailang maganda ang pangangatawan kaya ang mga babae ay iba kung makatingin. Halata pa sa mga ito ang kinilig ng kumindat yung Atlas sa kanila bago bumalik sa upuan niya, bahagya pa akong nagulat ng makitang magkatabi kami ng upuan. Ngumiti lang siya sakin pero hindi ko siya sinuklian ng isa ring ngiti sa halip ay inilipat ko ang atensyon ko sa unahan ng magsimula  nang magsalita ang aming prof.

Lumipas ang ilang oras at malapit ng matapos ang klase namin sa kaniya. All I did is to listen and take some notes to my IPad.

“Class dismissed.” She ended.

I decided to go to my favorite place and just relax.

“Uhm....uh, gusto mo bang sumama samin kumain ng lunch Carchet? Kasama sila Simon.  Uhm, sa cafeteria lang.” Girl suddenly spoke beside me. And, I know she was asking Atlas to go with them. She's shy, it's obvious that she has a crush on Atlas. I don't care anyway.

“Oh! I see, maybe next time? May gagawin kasi ako eh. Thanks for inviting me.” Atlas said and I know he is sweetly smiling at the girl that caused the girl to blush her cheeks like a tomato.

After that, the girl go back to her group of friends. They left after saying goodbye to Atlas. When I was about to go, someone spoke behind me.....

“Hey, Do you mind eating lunch with me?” I was shocked for a second. Because Atlas is asking me to have a lunch with him. Not that I want it I just did not expect that he'll invite me.

“I don't do eating lunch with a stranger, Atlas.” I answered.

“I'm obviously not a stranger because you call me using my first name ‘Atlas’. Strangers don't do first name basis at each other when they were talking for the first time.” Mahaba niyang litanya kasama ang isang ngiti at kindat pagkatapos niyang magsalita. He talks too much.

“I don't do date with someone I don't know,  means— you, Mr. Barren.” I said matter of factly.

“Drop the ‘Mr. Barren’ you can call me ‘Atlas’ again. And, I'm not asking you to date me, I'm asking you to eat with me, Miss.”
