" Good morning koko you coming to work with mommy hmmm?" Kalaní spoke softly to her daughter Dakota Milan Carter. She gave her the name saint aka street always wanted to name his daughter after his grandmother and also let her have his last name. Dakota was only 8 months old and cute as ever looking just like her daddy which Kalaní was jealous of.
"Come on pumpkin mommy has to make sure the building looks good" she picked Dakota up off the bed and getting her purse walking out of her room grabbing the car seat with her freehand. Her phone began to ring and it was her friend Dejah calling
"Girl i just woke up! I will be there soon don't yell at me" dejah said through the phone making Kalaní laugh
"Girl, I ain't even left yet I'm putting your niece in her seat " Kalaní squatted down placing Dakota in her seat placing the pacifier in her mouth she already knew she was about to throw a fit.
" whew shit good thought I was gonna be late again"
"No but I'm about to leave so you do need to hurry up ion wanna be there by myself with Milan " she sat the phone down on the table before standing up grabbing her purse and Dakota diaper bag/ bookbag
"Girl I'm bout to shower now stop and get some food or sum" she hung up quickly making kalani roll her eyes. She placed her phone in her purse before grabbing the car seat and walking out the door, she locked her front door and walked to the elevator once she reached the front of her lobby in her apartment building, she waved at the girl at the front desk before going out straight to her car.
She strapped her baby in making sure she's secure and made sure the camera was on so that she could watch her while she drove. She shut the door of her car and went around to her side getting in she placed her seatbelt on and pulled out of her spot driving to Starbucks. After getting Dakota a croissant and her and Dejah some coffee 20 minutes later she pulled up to her shop with a smile on her face, she could see her best friend arguing with her on again off again boyfriend Von
"Here we go " she sighed to herself, von is a close friend to street who she hasn't seen in a long time. She just moved back to New York 2 months ago and this would be the first person close to street that has seen her or baby koko. She knew that the time to tell saint was getting closer and she was nervous she got out of the car and grabbed her purse and the car seat and walked into the shop. Von looked up with his eyebrows raised
"Aw shit I heard yo ass was back but couldn't believe it. Wassup sis" he walked over to her about to give her a hug but looked at the car seat and stopped.
"Hey Dayvon " she smiled before following his eyes towards the car seat.
"Who baby is that?" He asked and she sighed
"Mine" she spoke up and he looked at her then back at the seat. Kalaní pinched her nose before sitting the seat on the bench and revealed Dakota face and von jaw dropped
