"Mmcht, damn," Capri smacked her teeth, putting her phone on 'Do Not Disturb' as it dinged for the tenth time in the past hour and a half. Looking at her lock screen, she chuckled seeing yet another text message from Dave, which she gladly ignored.

Much to everyone's disapproval, Capri was quickly falling back into her old self. She noticed that with Dave she was different, as did everyone else in her inner circle, but she realized that it was a 'bad' different as opposed to the truth of it's positive effects on her life.

Truth be told, she realized that she was catching feelings for him. Even though she agreed that she would take that risked with him, she didn't take it as seriously as he intended it. She though that he would just be some no good nigga that seemed good in the beginning but was really there to just waste her time, and boy was she wrong! She thought that maybe he was putting on the good guy act just to get in her pants, but even after their time at the shop, nothing about him changed.

Capri was starting to realize that Dave was honestly the perfect nigga for her and while a part of her loved it, another part-- the bigger part-- hated it. It meant that she would have to be even more vulnerable than she was already and that just wasn't something she could fathom at the moment... more over, something she just wasn't trying to think about it.

She thought that if she just continued to ignore him, the feelings she has for him will just go away.... even though that's not how that works.

Flipping her phone face down, she continued to pack and complete orders so they could be shipped out by the end of the day. Luckily, she didn't have any clients for the day, so she was able to put all her attention on the packages for her companies; she was distracted.

After about three hours, she had finally finished packing for the day and was good to go for the entire weekend. Making her way back to her house in Jersey City, she showered, ordered some food, and took a much needed nap.

MEANWHILE, over in Harlem, Dave sat at his office in the traphouse trying to figure out what went wrong. He couldn't even concentrate on the work he needed to do because all of his thoughts were on her; Capri.

They were doing so good and making so much progress, then she just switched and he had no idea why. She wouldn't answer, and hadn't answered any of his calls or respond to his texts for the past couple days, leaving him in the dark about the entire situation.

He even went as far too talk to her brothers about it, just to see if they knew something he didn't, but they were just as confused, but they weren't surprised. If anything, they expected her switch to happen sooner or later, now they just had to figure out how to get through it.

Texting Capri one last time, Dave sighed before setting his phone down and began rolling up a blunt.

Just as he was calming down, his brothers walked into his office making him frown at their sudden entrance with no warning.

"Damn, what happened to knocking?" He mugged the both of his younger brothers, ashing out the remainder of his blunt that was now a roach.

"What we gotta knock for?" Amiri looked at him with his eyebrows furrowed.

"You don't know what I could'a been doing in here," Dave shrugged, leaning back in his office chair.

"As long as lil Deuce ain't up in here. I ain't too much worried about what the fuck you doing," Zymere shrugged, taking a seat on the beanbag in the corner of the office while Amiri sat down in the chair in front of Dave's desk.

"What he said," Amiri agreed. "Speaking of, what's up wit' y'all?"

"We was kickin' it until a couple days ago. I think she ghosted a nigga," He shook his head, running his hand down his face as he thought about it.

"Ah shit," Mere laughed. "You fucked it up already? It's barely been a month," He continued.

"No. We was doing good- great really, then shawty just switched. I don't even know what I did or if I even did something," He sighed, picking up his phone to text her again. He didn't give a damn if he looked like a bitch with blowing up her line, he needed some answers.

"Define 'great' because it couldn't have been that great if she just cut you off like some ho'," Amiri questioned.

"Well, I went over to her shop, she did her shit and then when she was giving me a massage, she got heated," He smirked, thinking about that night. He had never felt like that before; so satisfied by a woman off just a handjob and some head. It had him even more hooked on her than he had been before, he could definitely take a guess on why Esco was so crazy over her.

"Y'all fucked?" They both asked, surprised.

"Nah, she gave me some demon head. Swea' I ain't neva' had no shit like that befo'. Had a nigga feeling like a straight bitch," He shook his head.

"Oh shit! 'Pri a freak, huh?" Amiri chuckled.

"Hell yeah," Dave shrugged. "That's my girl tho', so as long as she doin' that shit to me, we good."

"You asked her out yet?" Mere looked up at him from his phone with raised brows.

"Nope. She know what it is tho'."

"Suree," Mere dragged out. "You say that until you see this," He tossed his phone to Dave, showing him a video that Capri had posted to her story. It was a video of both Capri & Jayda at a Valentine's themed party, showing their asses.

"The fuck?" He frowned looking at the screen as it flipped through different videos of them clearly having the times of their lives. He'd never been one to interrupt some fun, but for Capri, he was definitely down for it.

"Aight, bet that," He simply nodded, picking up his phone to text his boys groupchat. He wanted to party too.
