I didn't know if I should continue the story where I left it or skip time but I thought that there was nothing else to say about the kiss so..

~The next morning~

You go down stairs to get breakfast but you see only sarah and cleo

"Mornin' " you take a seat next to sarah while cleo is making toasts "where are the guys? "

"Fishing" sarah says giving you a weird look and cleo follows

"What? " you said fixing your hair to see if there was anything strange about it "why are you looking at me like that? "

"You look like you slept with a hanger in your mouth" she smiles "that's why"

"Yeah what's going on? " cleo adds with a smirk

"Nothing" you say still smiling

"Actually guys, something happened" you say getting serious but you hear the door open and Kiara and the boys come in

"Hey " sarah smiles and walks up to John b "did you catch anything? "

"Yeah we did! " Jj says pretty excited. He's so cute when he smiles and you can't help but smile too

"Excuse me" Pope says from the kitchen and everyone looks at him "we brought you fresh fish, straight from the sea, best fish in obx and you made us toasts?! " he raises his voice dramatically

"Excuse me " cleo says mocking Pope and walks towards the fridge "what do you expect us to make with.. " she takes a look at the refrigerator's shelves "beers, expired toast bread and.. weed? " she says holding out the weed in disgust

"Ohhh there you are" Jj says to the weed and takes it from cleo's hand

Sarah "You found that thing in the fridge?! "

~Later that day~

Pope just went home because it's dark outside and Kiara is at the Wreck to help her parents. Jj left too an hour ago but you don't know where he's gone

"I'm gonna take off " you say

"Yeah I'm going to bed, too" Sarah said and kissed John b who was sleeping with Cleo with his head resting on her stomach, before going upstairs "Goodnight y/n "

"Night sleepyheads" you say and walk out

Of course you didn't go home after what happened the other night with Jj and your dad. Instead, you went for a walk to the beach. You saw someone surfing and stopped for a minute to see who he was and of course it was him

"Jj? " you mumbled

You looked around if anyone else was there because it felt really weird standing there on your own

"Okay just keep walking, act like you didn't see him " you whisper to yourself "don't look at him, look at anything else, anything "

"Y/n " you heard him call you and turned to him as he was coming out of the sea soaking wet, holding his surfboard, his blonde hair wet as well and his shirt stuck to him from the water, revealing his abs. Could it be any more worse?

"Hey " you say clearing your voice

"What's up? " Jj says sitting on the sand

"Nothing much " you say still standing up, looking at him

"We haven't talked since.. "

"Yeah-- No we haven't.. " there's an akward silence after that until Jj breaks it

"Can I ask you something? And you can answer only if you want.. No pressure "

"Um y-yeah what is it? " you sit across from him

He takes a moment before he takes it out of his chest "Do you.. Does your-- Do you ever get.. " you just look at him confused as he tries to form a sentence

"What's going on, Jay? " you start getting worried

"Does your- Does your dad ever.. hit you? " he finally says

"W-what? " you say standing up and he follows

"Well, last night he didn't seem like a nice guy.. "

"N-no" you answer

"Y/n- " he said in a soft voice

"Jj stop it. Just because your father hits you doesn't mean mine does the same " you took a step towards him and looked away as soon as you regretted it

"I think I should go.. " he says after a few seconds

"Jj.. "

"Goodnight y/n " he picked up his surfboard and left
