It's a few days later, and Wooseok doesn't tell Kino about his plan. He knew he would try to stop him, and he needed to go. There were two things he needed to grab, and right now, it felt like they mattered more to him than his own life.
Dramatic, but that was Wooseok.
So with the excuse that Wooseok needed to buy some things for the apartment, whilst Kino and his mum stayed at the new place to make sure everything was working, he headed off towards his house.
The sun was setting, and he took a big breath as he walked. Both to steady himself, prepare for what could possibly happen, but hopefully this was the last time he would ever have to set foot in that house ever again.
It wasn't his mums house, he had no ties to it. He wanted out. But he needed to grab things, leave, and never look back.
The key let him inside, and Wooseok treated inside silently like he had before. This time he didn't bother checking every room for his father, willing to fight him if it came to it. He went straight to his room, searching for the box he needed.
It had all of his things about his mum, and he daren't move without it. It contained so many memories of her, her perfume, their photos, her ring. The only thing that was missing was meant to be under his bed. But he couldn't find it no matter how hard he looked.
On the off chance he father had moved it, Wooseok made his way out of the room and into the living room, if you could even call it that.
"Looking for this?" His father asks, calmly, for the first time ever. He hold a thick envelope in his hands, not even looking at his son.
"Where did you get that"
"Where do you think"
"Give that to me, it's mine"
"Where have you been all this time?" his father questions, swinging back some beer with his other hand.
"Doesn't matter, what matters now is from today you won't be seeing any more of me. Now hand me that envelope".
"Is that any way to speak to your father" his dad says.
Wooseok scoffs and addresses him, "You stopped being my dad the day mum died"
He finally turns around to look at his sad excuse of a son, "You're the one that killed her" he says, as if it was a statement.
"No I didn't. You did dad"
"Fuck you, it was all your fault! You were shouting at me, telling me to pull over, causing such a ruckus, she was trying to stop you, then I got distracted and next thing I know we crash!"
"That's all on you!" Wooseok's voice gets louder, "You shouldn't have been driving after drinking so much! You lost control, and you killed her dad! You killed mum, because you couldn't wait to have a drink! How is any of that my fault!"
"If you had kept your damn mouth shut, nothing would have happened and she would still be here!"
"So not only do you hate me for being gay, but also because you're convinced I killed mum?"
"You DID kill your mother! And you deserve hell for that!" his father shouts now.
"Think whatever the fuck you want, now give me that envelope"
"No it's mine"
"You know full well mum left that FOR ME! It's not yours in any way. Her will even says so!"Wooseok feels anger fill his insides just like before. If he could just get that envelope he could leave this life forever.
"Like fuck! I don't care! This is the only money I have left! You're going to leave your father with nothing?"
"You deserve nothing!" Wooseok growls out.
