iv. Warship Island Arc:
"Man, you're stubborn!" Luffy commented with a laugh but I could tell he was furious.
"Yeah. I very nearly drowned to death. Just look at this beautiful radiance! Isn't it marvelous?! This is all Dragonite, the legendary elixir of immortality!" The weirdo exclaimed ecstatically.
"But breaking these fossilized Millennial Dragons won't produce anything usable!" Nami-san denoted to the weirdo.
"Yes, so I hear. But there is more than enough live Dragonite here! What do you say? A pointless fight would only be tiring. How about we make a deal to split this treasure?" Weirdo bargained with sickening laugh.
"No". Luffy stated simply.
"--Do you not want eternal life?!" Weirdo asked in disbelief
"--Not Interested". Luffy replied casually
"You lie! There's no one who's not afraid of dying! Both of us may have Devil Fruit powers, but a pirate's life is always only inches from death! There's no way you can't be afraid of dying!" Weirdo exclaimed in shock.
"It's true that everyone's afraid of dying, but Luffy is kind of an exception to that case. He is not afraid to die as long as he's doing what he wants to do". I voiced my opinion with a smile which made the weirdo even more furious.
