I asked my grandma why I can't just wash my hands with sanitizer and her response is that it just takes off germs, but it doesn't take off "dirt". when she said that, I looked up the ingredients in soap (because why not) and one ingredient is animal fat, so isn't that just more "dirt"going on your hands??? 🤨
