The early sun bagan to rise over the mountains, gently caressing the green forested plains. But, down in the valley, all was not peaceful. A storm had begun, its rolling thunder echoing off the peaks, and its flashes striking the tops of the tallest trees in the valley.

AJ is at her apartment, trying to find some candles since the electricity broke down.

As she searches the home, she can hear a low rumbling outside, like thunder, slowly building. It's quite eerie, like the calm before the storm. Suddenly, she hears a crash outside. She goes to the window, and sees that a tree has fallen ocross the street. The thunder has picked up, and lightning is striking repeatedly around the area.It appears a storm is coming. And a bad one.

AJ has been afraid of storms since the day she was born, knowing Fangs already. She thinks if it's a good to call him or not.

Suddenly, her phone starts ringing, and she recognizes Fangs' number.

She accepts the call. She can hear thunder in the background on the other side. Fangs' voice crackles, making it difficult for AJ to understand him. "Uh.. AJ? Are you okay?" He says. Then the worst thing that could happen, happens. The call cuts out, and the power dies, leaving AJ in total darkness.

"Shit." AJ mutters. She quickly turns on her torch on her phone, so she can atleast sees where she walks.

The thunder continues to rumble, as the rain starts to fall. The wind picks up, as the leaves in the trees blow. There is a flash of lightning, and AJ can see the tress outside her apartment blowing like crazy.

Then, to make matters worse, there is a sudden defeaning crash, like a bomb going off. AJ jumps out of her skin from the explosion. Her heart is racing, she's panicking, and just wants to get out of there. She quickly gets her car keys and runs to the parking lot, and to her car.

She gets in, starts her motor and drives to Fangs, since he's literally the only one who can calm her down during storms.

She's driving through the storm, lightning cracking and crashing outside, almost blinding her as she drives. The rain is coming down hard and her windshield wipers are working overtime, desperately trying, and failing, to clear the water.

She arrives at the house, and runs to the door, getting inside before the storm gets the chance. She's wet, cold, and shaking.

Fangs stands there, looking at her, his expression concerned. The thunder is still crashing, and the lighning is striking a lot closer now.

"Hey." AJ says, shivering and waving a bit awkwardly at her childhood crush.

Fangs immediately hugs AJ tightly, and holds her close to him. He's warmer than she had expected, given the situation. He tries to comfort her, whispering in her ear, but it's difficult to hear over the thunder. He rubs her back, and pulls her against him, trying to keep he safe.

He knows she always gets scared during storms. It's something he's known for a very long time. So when she needs him, he'll always be there.

"Thank you." AJ says, accepting Fangs' warmth.

As she leans against him, he can feel an audible sigh of relief come from her body, as if her stress and tension being released. Another flash of lightning cracks the sky, followed by a loud peal of thunder. Fangs holds AJ tighter. She can feel his heart thumping beneath his chest. It doesn't really care Fangs that AJ is wet. The only thing that matters is that she's safe.
