"Hallo?" A voice whispered with hoarseness
"Oh hello! Hi Sarah irukangala" Another voice greeted in the most energetic tone
"Insurance lam vennanga" Sarah said grunting as she rolled over to her side almost hanging up
"Aiyo Insurance illanga" That voice replied chuckling in amusement
"Loan lam venna" she responded and hung up the call.
Her phone rang again, she picked it up and was grumpy now as her deep slumber was disturbed by some 'idiot', as she addressed the caller.
An idiot.
"Apo sorry-um oru cup coffee um vennama" that voice asked her, the tone of that deep voice had a hint of confidence in it.
"Hey waath* yara nee kalangathala prank call panriya vanthen vei avlodha unna-"
"Naan Gowtham" Gowtham cut her off quickly not wanting to hear more curse words.
Her eyes widened when she heard the name Gowtham and shoot up immediately sitting straight, she took a look at her phone and then at the mirror and pinched herself. It hurt.
That pain knocked sense into her head
"Entha Gowtham?" She questioned trying to be oblivious but she knew exactly who that was.
"2 days munnadi dhana meet pannom maranthutingala? Neenga kuda ennakaga villunthutingale" She could feel the smile of his when he said the last sentence.
"Ohh neegala, en number epdi kedachithu" She asked as a yawn followed her mouth.
"Athu epdi sollrathu...I have my own ways" He was smirking on the other side.
"Stalker ah nee" Sarah mummered to herself, and he caught her words
"Stalker lam illanga" He kind of whined at her previous statement.
"Haan cher cher" she found him amusing.
"Ah! Naan sorry kekanum dha pannen....I'm sorry Sarah antha naai apdi sollum nu ennaku theriyathu aparam yarum ungakita vanthu keka maatanga atha paathi, solla pona atha pathu peche varathu don't worry" he apologised and comforted her in the most soothing tone ever.
"Athu epdi sollringa?" she asked him
"Athalam naalu mandaila thatuna pothumnga mudipanuga, so naan thatiten mudikutanuga aparam girls-um unga sandaiku lam vara maatanga dont worry Sarah" he said nonchalantly
"Girls lam yen enkita sanda podanum?" She was confused to the core right now
"Ennakaga ungakita ethum vambu panna enna panrathu sollunga paapom" she rolled her eyes at his response
"Chi." She involuntary said but she was laughing silently
He laughed out loud at her reaction.
But thinking about the last two days at the campus, a couple of girls in her class were giving her a dirty look and when she asked them about it they were very sour about it and said
"nee dha avanoda aal ache nee yen itha pathi lam kavala padra" ,
back then she was confused but figured out shortly afterwards about what they were talking about and who that "avan" was
"Neega ipo dha elundhingala? Naan disturb panniten ah" he asked bringing her out of the strings of thoughts.
"Aama disturb pannitinga" she yawned again
That's when Sarah's mother yelled at her,
"Hey eruma innuma thungura naanum appavum market ku porom veeta putiko inga vaa"
"Varennn" she yelled back as an answer
Gowtham had a laughing party back there hearing them
She bid them bye and locked the door while Gowtham stayed on the phone accompanying her as she did so.
"Breakfast Saptingala?" He asked her
"Haan 2 maniku sapten neega" she asked him back
"Ipo dhana 12 aguthu" he asked out of confusion
"2 am. Saptu thungiten" She turned on the tap and washed her tooth brush under the running water.
She heard a audible gasp from him as she said those words and laughed at his reaction.
"Ivalo late ah lam thunga kudathunga, seekaram paduthu thungunga health enna agum atleast 6 illa 7 hours sleep vennum" he scolded her gently
"Ennaku oru assignment irunduchi adhan...illana 1 ku munnadi thungiduven aama neega epo thunguvinga" she asked
"Aama oru mani romba seekaram la" he rolled his eyes and she chuckled at him feeling embarrassed
"Naan 10 illa 11 ku thungiduven kaalaila naan jogging poven atha" he replied to her question, Sarah was amazed hearing him.
"Damn. Seringa Gowtham naan poi brush pannanum vartaa" she informed him
"Ohh seri seri bye Sarah mundinja namba m-" she hung up, not hearing more than "bye Sarah"
"Ethavathu sonnan ah enna last la" she wondered but consoled her by saying
"chacha irukathu"
And brushed her teeth while opening every pot she found in the kitchen trying to see what all her mom made today.
