I lay on a hard bed, awake but lifeless, staring at the sickly white ceiling and blinding lights. I almost wished I was gone; my grief kept me in a daze. People came and went, their mouths moving, but they didn't speak.

I tried to connect to the Force, maybe Obi-Wan was still here, and some nightmare tortured me. Though every time I took a deep breath to begin my meditation, a wave of pain shot through my side, reminding me of recent events.

I didn't want to remember, I tried to cast it away like the dying night, but the sun was as dark, and I feared the coming days would continue to be seen through a veil of darkness that descended upon us, especially with Obi-Wan dead.

The hospital doors swished open, and Ahsoka crept in outfitted with more traditional Jedi robes. Her eyes were hazy and went downcast the moment she looked into mine. She placed a pair of my robes on the bedside table, her movements sluggish. She almost dropped them on the ground.
