Pitch black surrounds me...

*************

Floating in nothingness...

*************

I can't tell if I'm awake or asleep right now, almost feeling like I'm in-between the two states of consciousness...

*************

Sounds...noises muffled...as if I'm underwater or ears are plugged with cotton...

*************

No pain... don't feel anything...

Is that a good thing...?

...or a bad thing...?

*************

So tired...

Can I just sleep now...?

Please...?

*************

*************

Jimin...where are you?

Where am I?

*************

"When is she going to wake up? She didn't hit her head that hard, did she?"

"I don't know. She's only been out a few hours. Give it time..."

"I can't wait that long..."

"You've waited how many years for this? You can wait a little longer... Come here, I need to have you..."

*************

I feel a faint movement, then my bladder gets kicked lightly...

Flower...

*************

Pain explodes in my head and flows throughout my body, especially in my back. I gasp.

"HEY! I THINK SHE'S FINALLY AWAKE!" a gravelly voice yells above me.

The loud sound of footsteps echo across the concrete I'm lying on, breaking through the flaring pain from the yell. I'm lying on my side in the fetal position, my arms still wrapped around my belly, trying to protect our flower at all costs. I squeeze my eyes tight and groan as I try to move, but any movement hurts too much.

My cold, bare foot gets kicked by whoever just came up, and I flinch at the pain that radiates up my leg.

"Open your eyes, b*tch. It's time for a reckoning." I'm surprised to hear her voice, then images start coming back to me slowly.

"F*ck off, Leeza..." I say softly, barely loud enough to be heard. But she does because she kicks me harder, this time in the leg.

"Shut up, Nae! I told you to open your eyes, not your mouth! You never do listen, do you?" Leeza hisses out with hatred in every word.

"What did I ever do to you, Leeza? Why are you doing this?" I ask quietly in a calm, soothing tone, a counterpoint to her grating one. She doesn't answer, but those must have been the wrong questions. She starts kicking me again with what feels like pointed shoes, leaving divots as she moves up my legs towards my stomach, and I pull the rest of my body as close as possible to protect it the best I can.

"Stop. You're going to make her pass out again."

"Good! I hope she does! Then when she wakes up next time, we'll try this again," Leeza says breathlessly as a kick connects with my shoulder. I gasp and lift my head at the sharp pain. The next one connects with my forehead, and blackness is pulling me under again...
