chapter 24

              Edward pov

All of sudden Bella slammed on the brakes and I stopped. All I could do is watch as it went in slow motion and I heard Emmett gasp and Rose was screaming Bella's.

She made a quick right and the whole driver side came off the ground. I gripped the steering wheel.

"Come on baby, turn out of it!" I told myself and she did and when she did and she came to a stop, I hurried and got out the truck and ran over to the other one because I felt her going into a panic attack.

I open the driver door. "Baby look at me." She slowly turned her head and looked at me.

"Come here!" I told  as her opened my arms. She started  to fight with the belt.

"Baby, stop and let me help you." I got it off of her and I scooped her up and carried her back to the other truck.

I put her into the passenger side of the truck and made Rose hand me the backpack with Bella's meds in it and grabbed a anxiety pill for her and a bottle of water.

"Open!" I told her and put the pill into her mouth. This was the first time she had to take it.

"Drink!" She did as I told her. "What did you just give her?" Rose asked. "Anxiety pill!" I told her.

I shut the door and got into the driver seat and reached for Bella and slid her next to me and fasten her seat belt.

"You take the lead Edward?" Charlie asked me. "Yep!" Was all I said and then after I got shifted I lifted my arm and she leaned against me.

When we stopped for gas I gave her the rest of her pills and Rose took her inside to use the rest room.

This time she actually laid down and put her head down on my lap and fell fast asleep.

I just set my hand down on her and ran my hand up and down her belly softly and she ended turning so she was facing me now and buried her face into my stomach.

I could feel her finally relax and  go into a deep sleep. Then I felt  Rose up next to me.

"She looks so peaceful sleeping now!" Rose said. "It's the meds isn't it?" She asked me.

I take my hand and gently run it  through her when I looked down at Bella real quick.

"Yeah! But it helps so much." I told her. "She never slept this good even when we we're growing up. She was always such a light sleeper." I told Rose.

"I really like learning something new about her. She so fascinating." I smiled and chuckled.

"Oh you haven't seen all she can do yet. Wait until we get home. Or wait until you least expect it and she climbs a tree. Or saves my ass from being a dare devil." I told Rose.

"Nooo! You a dare devil. That's not possible!" She told me. "Ohh, but it is." I started laughing.

"Like him felling off a cliff and I had to repel to save his ass. Or when we were little and he was balancing on a crumbling wall and I warned him not to not and all no he just had to do it and I had yet again save his ass and that's how we got the scars on our hands. I can go on." Bella giggled.

"You feel better now?" I asked her. "Yeah just really tired and don't want to move from my spot." She told me.

"Then don't and just fall back to sleep." I saw a smile go on her face and she snuggled back up and it didn't take her long to sleep.

               Bella pov

I felt the truck start get bumpy and Edward had his hand holding me on the seat.

I open my eyes and it was daylight now. I looked up to Edward and he looked down at me real quick and back to in front of him. He smiled.

"Hey sleeping beauty." I smiled. "You found a hidden trail." I told him as a statement. He looked down to me again and nodded before he looked back out the window.

I  sit up and stretched out. I see Edward looking at me with the corner of his eyes. I hit him in the shoulder.

"Behave!" I told him as I fasten my seat and he chuckled. "This is to much fun." He told me. I turned and glared and he started laughing now.

I turned my head and looked out the window. 2 can play this game.

I closed my eyes and thought about the night before and thinking out loud played out in my mind.

I let the feeling of the way Edward makes me feel and I started to chew on my lip and I sat there and started moving in motion to the music playing in my head.

Then I felt the truck jerk and I tip my head back and started laughing.

I turned and looked at Edward. You turned and gave me that look which made me laugh even harder.

"You don't play fair." He told me. "Teach you to play your tricks on me." I told him. "No it don't." He gives me a shitty as grin.

I heard Rose start laughing. "You 2 are so funny." She says wrapping her arm around her stomach laughing so hard.

"He started it by thinking about me with.." I covered up my mouth turning my head blushing and I heard Edward laughing.

"I never seen your face so red baby sis." Emmett says laughing. I turned and glared at Edward.

It was his fault and he knew it. I felt his hand go on the side of my face and he Never looked away from the window.

I closed my eyes as I leaned into his hand. I let that song play out in my head. I just felt a surge of Edward's love for me and I smiled.

I open my eyes never moving from his hand and took his thumb and gently moved it.

I wished at that moment I could kiss at that moment. He took his hand away and the truck jerked again.

"That's the second time you did that Edward. What the hell is going on up there?" My dad asked.

I seen someone lean over between us. "What do you think going on Charlie? There having foreplay there way again?" I started laughing when Emmett said that.

"Really didn't need to hear that." My dad said. "Well you asked." Then he was gone and I see Edward looking at me with that look again.

I giggled. Then he got this shitty ass grin on his face and I lost my smile.

"Shit!" I slammed back into the seat.  I stomped my foot. I turned and looked at him. "I hate you." Edward chuckled.

I turned my head and looked out the window. I hate surprises.
