Delilah followed Spencer and Emily into the local police station, eyeing the letter Hotch was displaying on a large screen in the conference room.

"Is that the letter from the unsub?" Emily asked.

"Yeah," Hotch said. "I'm back with a vengeance. I wanted you to know. The last guy made it easy, being out so late, stumbling home drunk. I enjoyed slicing around his organs. I thought about sending you one. He was asking to be ripped, don't you think, boss? Yours truly," he read out.

"To say that the victims were asking to be killed denies all culpability. Most sexual sadists rationalize their own behavior by blaming the victims like that," Spencer said.

"But there was no evidence of sexual assault in the autopsy," Emily said. "He could be a homosexual male stabbing because he needs violence for arousal."

"Every kill, he's acting out a fantasy of revenge," Hotch said.

"What if he's trying to act out something else?" Spencer asked.

"Like what?" Hotch asked.

"Except for the victims were men, it's the same MO," Spencer said.

"What are you talking about?" Emily asked.

"All four victims were found with their throats slashed, eviscerated, and the murders perpetrated in semi-public places after dark. Investigators taunted with the letters addressed to boss. The only difference is that case was one hundred years ago and the murder took place in London," Spencer said.

"Jack the Ripper," Emily said.

"And the unsub wants us to think that he's the modern-day version loose in New Orleans?" Hotch asked.

"I think we're looking at this wrong," Delilah said.

"Jack the Ripper is definitely connected," Spencer said.

"No, yeah, I fully agree on that," Delilah said.

"Then what's wrong?" Hotch said.

"I don't know," Delilah said. "Something about this feels off. Not the Jack the Ripper stuff. The unsub. Why would a man pick Jack the Ripper and not replicate his crimes against women? That was the whole point. Jack was punishing women for being sexual. Men usually celebrate being sexual. It's wrong," Delilah said.

"Keep thinking about it. It'll be time to deliver the profile, soon," Hotch said.

"Let me guess, white man in his mid twenties to forties, probably holds a high position at work, he's organised and calculating and may stalk his victims for days before the kill. He likely suffered a trauma and compensates to hide his insecurities," Delilah said.
