I was surrounded.
Surrounded by white walls.
The light was so bright it took a while for me to notice the men and women standing to my right staring down right at me.
It was so hard to breathe.
Was i even breathing?

"That's right boy. Open your eyes wide!" Screeched a short lady who got so close to my face i could smell everything she ate.
She was funny looking yet i felt like I've met her before.
I sat up to take a better looking of her.
She was a short, red-head with glasses twice as big as her face.
As i slowly moved my head to my left,
i saw some other kids in similar beds as me.
Why was i getting all the attention?
Suddenly my eyes met another boys eyes, he was blonde and blue eyed.
He was beautiful.
Yet i felt uneasy.
He smiled at me, for a second i thought i saw stars surrounding him.
No.
Just my imagination.
I looked away feeling a little embarrassed.

A sudden beeping sound hit my ears.
It was so loud i felt like my head will explode.
"Must be Jax again." Wispered an old man.
"I swear if he's trying to escape again-"
They all ran off.
Why?
What caused that sound to set off?

I tried to get out of bed, only to realise that im held down by weights.
I screamed.
And screamed...

"Shut it."
My heart stopped for a second.
It was him.
The boy my eyes locked with.
But this time he was next to me.
"I'll get you out of here!" He said as he grapped one side of the weight to toss it over.
"Jax finally got the alarms to go off so now we've got our chance"
There it was.
The same feeling.
Something was off, i just couldn't comprehend what it was.

My head started to buzz.
It felt like a dozen bees were flying around in there.
I felt like fainting.
But something in that boys eyes woke me up.
"Should i carry you out lazy boy?" He said as his eyes twinkled like the ocean in a sunny day.

"Uh. No thanks, I'll manage." I answered.
Bad decision.
Not only did i sound like i was four but i also gave it a terrifying smile.
He looked at me as if i gave him a side salad he never ordered.
He quickly opened his mouth, "Hurry up and follow me then. We don't have time to make funny faces!"
That was the last straw.
I could tell i turned red as blood.
Maybe next time I'll just keep my mouth shut.
So embarrassing..
As i looked up, he disappeared.

"Oi, i said follow me!" I heared from a distance.
I got off the bed and ran out of the white room.
The alarm went off again, but this time the men and women that ran off, chased me.
I didn't know what was going on.
But i was scared.
Though i couldn't exactly tell what i was scared of.
All i knew was that i was being chased by older people.

"AXEL!" cried another boy wearing all white.
Axel.
Was that supposed to be my name?
I ran towards him.
Hearing that name lit something in me and i felt like i remembered things.
What i remembered was my name, age and birth date.
Not alot but it was something.

The boy who called for me was tall and his hair was burnt red ombre.
He had a weird black mark across his face, and was pale as if his skin hadn't seen the sun for years.
He grabbed my arm and pulled me with him.

What was happening?
I was so lost.
My mind felt like an empty desert.
I felt like i had to say something or else my clueless mindset wouldn't improve.
"Where are you taking me? Where am i? How did i get here? Who are you? What's going o-"
"Whoah calm down Axel. Take it slow." He interrupted.
I needed answers, not to start a conversation i couldn't keep up with.
"How do you know my name? Your talking to me as if we know each other. You really expect me to understand a bunch of nonsense from a stranger?"
I sounded angry.
And i was.

"Wait.. so you don't remember anything? Did you forget the plan?"
Again.
He talked to me as if i knew what was going on.
"What plan? Seriously, what's going on!?"
"They brainwashed you again, didn't they? Not good."

Brainwashed?
Now i had even more questions.
Some overlapped the others and i couldn't think at all.
We stopped running and he put his hands on my shoulders.
"Look. I can tell you have many questions and nothing makes sense to you, even what im saying now. But please try and keep calm. I promise i will answer all your questions once we got out of here. Its not safe, so please don't resist!"

That was inspiring.
Not exactly, but i definitely was intrigued to find out what on earth was happening.
So i did as he said.
