Emerald soul

Chapter 2.

"My name is Jamal by the way." The pale boy said faintly.
He seemed odd, but I felt like I could trust him.
We ran towards a huge metal door that was slowly opening as we got closer.
I could hear the people that were chasing us.
"Get back here you rats!" One screamed.

I looked back, there I saw the other kids running the same direction as me and Jamal.
I was still confused.
Desperate for answers.
In a matter of seconds we reached the door.
Jamal pressed an emergency button which triggered the whole building to shut down.

The kids that I saw earlier got outside and just before the adults got out, the door slammed shut.
I felt a sense of relief.

"There! The entire building is in lock down" chatted a very confident looking young man.
As I looked around I realised that I was surrounded by all boys, wearing full white.
So was I.

Jamal looked at me and it felt like he was angry.
I got goosebumps as he clenched his hands.
Did I upset him?

A sudden hand appeared on my shoulder, turning me around.
There he was once again.
I couldn't help but feel my heart burning up and loosing my breath.
