THE BEGINNING

I had only been a week since you had come to Kamiyama High School yet you had gotten pretty popular. You were favoured for your kindness to all those you interacted with and for your academic intelligence. 

It was a Tuesday and you had decided to have your lunch on the rooftops. The cafeteria was always way too crowded and most of the classrooms were filled with gossipers. After the bell rang for lunch, you took your bento and chocolate milk and headed up to the rooftop.

"(L/N) are you going to have lunch?" Three girls came up to you as you were going up the stairs. "Can we join you?"

"Oh sure! I was gonna have lunch on the rooftops!" You replied cheerfully as the three girls followed you up the stairs.

Much to your surprise, there was another person on the rooftop already. They had their light pink hair in a side ponytail tied with a red ribbon.

"Ugh its that freak Akiyama.." One of the girls scoffed loudly enough for them to hear.

"Lets get out of here, we don't wanna catch a disease being near that weirdo!" The three girls ran off giggling and smirking, leaving you alone on the rooftop with them.

You closed the door and went over to them. "Akiyama? Can I sit next to you?"

They hesitantly nodded, their head facing the other way.

You smiled softly and sat next to them. You opened your bento and began eating. As you ate, they watched you curiously.

Once you had a few bites of your bento, you turned to Akiyama. "Do you not have any lunch to eat?"

They look slightly surprised by the question and shook their head. 

You took your chopsticks and picked a piece of katsu meat while they raised an eyebrow in confusion. 

"Try some from my bento!"

"..What?" They asked politely before having the piece of meat pushed in their mouth. 

"Is it good? I made it myself!" You asked expectantly as they chewed the meat.

"It's..pretty good.." They replied quietly. "Why are you doing this?" 

You tilted your head in confusion. "Huh? What do you mean why? I just want to get to know a classmate!"

Their eyes widdened. "You mean.. this isn't a prank?"

You shook your head. 

"You're not doing this to make fun of me?" They gave you a skeptical look. 

"No why would I? There's nothing about you that's funny or weird!" You grinned. 

"Even if I'm.." 

You stopped them from finishing their sentence. "To me no matter how you change, Akiyama is still Akiyama."

In that moment, Mizuki Akiyama felt something they didn't expect to feel especially since they never felt this around others who showed them kindness.

It was love.. no more of an obsession. 

Mizuki had never been treated with this much gentleness and kindness not even from Ena. Despite those girls calling them a freak, you still approached them but unlike people like Rui and An, you were different. They could feel it. You weren't a regular classmate of theirs, you were an angel.
