40. Quinn's guilt

Bumaba kami after kong kumalma, Hale's mother gave me another gown and a make up artist, since I got up from my panic attack, I gladly accepted it, inantay lang ako ni Hale matapos.

"You are done, Mrs. Lorenzo." sabi ng make up artist, tiningnan ko ang mukha ko sa salamin, I smiled when I looked at Hale behind me looking at me through the mirror.

He is so cold, but he half smiles for me, it's a light make up. My gown is Trumpet design,  velvet maroon backless evening dress, but this is unique, the back has flower gold and swarovski stones chains, ang ganda, at kakaiba.

Bumaba ako sa vanity chair at lumapit ako kay Hale.

Tumayo siya sa kama at hinapit ang beywang ko.

"You are so beautiful, Love. Goddess." sabi niya, hinalikan niya ako sa noo ko.

"Are you sure, you're okay?" tanong niya, tumango ako.

"Yes, thanks to my Husband, I am okay. Thank you, Love." sabi ko sa kanya, tumigda ako at hinalikan siya sa labi.

Bumaba na kami ulit, madaming nangamusta sa akin at sinabi ko na okay na ako and thanks to my Husband and his family dahil yun ang totoo, people here seem to adore Hale's parents and him, the way they talk highly of them, alam mong genuine at hindi plastic ang puri nila.

Umupo kami sa pool bench at kumuha lang siya ng isang bote ng red wine para inumin naming dalawa, me and Hale are just enjoying ourselves when we hear crying, kinilabutan ako thinking na baka multo ito, nag palingon lingon ako at nakita ko ang babae sa terrace dito sa pool area at umiiyak ito, I immediately knew who she is... Quinn... tiningnan ko si Hale, naktingin siya sa akin.

"You want us to go to her?" napanganga ako na hinihingi niya ang opiniyon ko, he is so loyal... Tumango ako at tinulungan niya akong tumayo at hawak niya amg kamay ko habang lumalapit kami sa nakatalikod na si Quinn.

Nakatingin siya sa langit, at hindi ko mapigilan maiyak na rin.

"Quinn..." sabi ko, nagulat siya at napaharap sa amin, Hale didn't say anything.

"Does someone make you cry? What happened ?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Quinn smiles at us while sobbing...umiling siya..

"I'm just... I'm just so happy... because Hale changed for good and how he protected you... Thinking that if..." hindi niya maituloy ang sasabihin niya... Ngumiti lng ako sa kanya at tumango... I know she still loves Hale...

"You can say it, Quinn. Let it out, let the hurt flow so you can be free..." sabi ko sa kanya.

Tininginan niya si Hale habang umiiyak..

"I'm sick, Hale... That's why I broke up with you..." sabi niya, my tears are falling, whatethe outcome is.. I will accept it whole-heartedly... We love the same guy, me and Quinn are the same... Handa kaming mag sakripisyo para sa lalakeng mahal namin, ito ang mahirap na kalaban... Si Quinn sa lahat ng ex ni Hale ang mahirap kalaban, dahil napaka perpekto nito at alam kung mahal na mahal niya si Hale...

"Sick?" walang ideya na sabi ni Hale.

"Leukemia... stage four, Hale. I have one year to live." I saw the sadness in Hale's eyes, and how his shoulders gave up, so I held his waist, he hugged my shoulder.

"Why didn't you say anything?" bulong ni Hale.

"Say what? That I am dying? I want you to be happy, Hale... I wajt you to find someone who you truly love... But I can't stop... I can't stop wishing that I am Heather, the way you protected her and loved her, I wished I was her... I wish I am Hellise." sabi ni Quinn, napakunot ang noo ko, kaunti lang ang nakakaalam ng ikalawang pangalan ko.
