Lexy was with Rachel and her friends, talking about how amazing the slushies were at 7/11. After begging Rachel to go for about an hour, she gives in and they drive to the gas station

"Hey, be careful! There are a lot of weirdos around here this time of night." Rachel advised, handing Lexy 20 bucks for snacks and drinks

"Don't worry, we'll be fine. These two idiots got my back." Lexy pointed at the boys, who were too busy hugging one another to notice anything going on around them

"Jake, Devon!" Rachel screamed, making the two lovebirds pull apart

"What happened?" Jake asks, getting a laugh out of his boyfriend

"Keep an eye on Lexy, okay?" Rachel asked

"She's a big girl, she can look after herself." Devon says

"Just do it. I'll be out here filling up the tank." Rachel sighed

Once the three amigos enter the store, Lexy heads for the slushy machine and the boys look around for snacks. A few seconds in, they hear the man behind the counter screaming

"Get out of my store, you hoodlums." The man screamed, swinging a bat at three teenagers

"You can't kick us out, we pay our debts." A boy argued

"Now now, Ethan. There's no use in arguing with this poor old man. He'll be dead in a few years anyway." A redheaded girl says

"You three come into my store, steal candy, and leave without paying. This generation has no respect." The older man spewed

"You're one to talk, you're swinging a bat at a couple of teenagers. How do you think this will go, Pedro? Unless you got cameras in here, it'll be our word against yours. They won't believe a mentally unstable man over a bunch of poor kids anyways." The girl smirked

"If I see anything missing from my store, I promise you three will come up missing." Pedro groaned

Lexy had begun filling her cup with different flavors from the slushy machine when she saw the redhead from earlier staring at her. She was wearing a black crop top labeled queens of noise along with a black hoodie. A plaid shirt was tied around her waist and her dark combat boots clicked against the floor

"Wait your turn, poison ivy." Lexy snapped, winching after the brain freeze catches up with her

"Great combat, Goldilocks. Did you get that joke off the back of a milk carton?" She leaned against the counter

"I'm not supposed to talk to strangers." Lexy backed away from her

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name's Ruby. Do you have a name or are you going to make me guess? Little tip, I suck at guessing games." Ruby moved closer towards her

"I'm Lexy." Lexy backed against the counter, accidentally dropping the slushy and watching it land by her feet

Ruby stares her up and down, slowly taking in her appearance. What she loved most were how beautiful her eyes were, they were the right shade of hazel and the blonde hair made them pop

"Nice haircut." Ruby twirled a strand of Lexy's short hair with her index finger, smirking once her cheeks heat up

"Thanks. Your style could use some work, you look like you're going to a funeral." Lexy stared her down

"That's the first time anyone's given me a compliment." Ruby teased

"Seriously? You take that as a compliment?" Lexy silently laughed
