Ruby woke up the next morning, shielding her eyes from the sun beaming through the shades. Once her vision grew clear, she locks eyes with Alexandra, who was spinning around in her chair

"It's too early in the morning to deal with your perkiness." Ruby groaned

"Come on, get up!" Lexy ripped the covers off her body

"I just want to sleep, leave me alone." Ruby groaned

"No can do. Get up or we'll be late for school." Lexy whined, ripping the covers off her trembling body once again

"Do that again and I will hurt you." Ruby warned

"You'll do no such thing." Lexy teased

Before she had the chance to do it again, Ruby grabs her and slams her down on the bed, straddling her before pinning her arms above her head. Their eyes lock onto each other's, making out every expression through their intense gaze

"I don't like repeating myself, Alexandra." Ruby growled

"You're easy to provoke." Lexy smirked, winching once she tightened her hold on her wrists

"Does that hurt?" Ruby asks

"Yeah, it does." Lexy pouts

"Oh, please. I know all of your tricks, blondie. That move won't work on me." Ruby scoffed

"Fine, but you can't blame a girl for trying." Lexy sighs

Suddenly, a knock at the door startled the two girls. Ruby jumped off Lexy's lap and landed on the other side of the bed, holding back a laugh once Rachel stuck her head through the door

"Who wants breakfast?" Rachel asks

"That depends. Are you cooking it?" Ruby asks, winching once Lexy elbowed her in the ribs

"I'm not that bad of a cook." Rachel nervously chuckled

"No offense, but there's a reason why Devon cooks a majority of the time." Lexy twiddled her thumbs

"First off, ouch. Second of all, the kid does have skills." Rachel nods

"We'll be down in a minute, Rachel." Lexy says, watching her nod before closing the door on her way out

Lexy turned to Ruby, who had a smirk plastered on her face. Rolling her eyes, Lexy tries to get up from the bed, but a hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her back down

"Where do you think you're going?" Ruby whispered in her ear

"Away from you." Lexy raised her eyebrows

"Oh, that's how it is?" Ruby chuckled

"Yeah, that's exactly how it is." Lexy says

"You made no effort to get away from me last night." Ruby teased

"You're so annoying." Lexy scoffed

"What can I say? I'm a catch." Ruby shrugged

Suddenly, a knock on the door interrupted their conversation. Devon peeked his head through the door and gave them a smile

"What do you want?" Lexy stared him down

"Take the hostility down a notch, Goldilocks." Ruby snorted

"I'm not hostile." Lexy grew defensive

"Back talking. How mature of you, Alexandra." Ruby muttered

"Screw you." Lexy huffed
