Today marks the beginning of the training. Naledi had decided to become a Dora Milaje along with Sya. Naledi and Sya, along with many other girls, have been brought to a secret area that has been specifically designated for the Dora Milaje and Kings Guards.

Sya directed her gaze towards a group of Dora Milaje practicing their knife techniques, while Naledi looked over at the King's Guards throwing punches at one another.

"Close your mouth. You look like a fish," Sya said as Naledi gave her a quick glance before quickly shutting her lips.

General Ayo led the young women through the gates into the secure area. Sya could see women everywhere—laughing, walking, talking.

"Come," General Ayo said to them, guiding them down corridors leading to their living quarters. Sya noticed some women dancing without any shoes on, kicking up dirt with their bare feet.

"This is where you will be living til the fall semester starts. Which means when the fall semester of school starts, you will not be training with us til next semester." Ayo spoke up, eyeing the trainees. The Dora Milaje started to form into lines, with the trainees huddling around a designated area.

"Milaje!" Ayo shouted out. The Milaje straightened themselves up, moving their hands behind their backs. "My name is Ayo, I am the general of the Dora Milaje." She introduced herself to those present. Okoye appeared behind her at that moment, her presence easily recognizable. Sya stood a bit straighter when Okoye's gaze fell on her.

"We fight...or we die. We fight for Wakanda, for our sisters and brothers, for our great queens. You will be respected. Your service in this army will be repaid accordingly - no other tribe or kingdom in Africa can offer such an honor or such privilege." As she said these words, Okoye looked over the familiar faces before her. Sya already knew that Okoye was general of the Dora Milaje and also a decorated war hero - one of the most experienced soldiers alive.

Mealtime arrived, and Sya and Naledi had taken a seat in the corner. Sya began eating her favorite dish: wheat fufu with ogbono soup. Naledi rested her head on Sya's thigh, prompting a scolding from her friend.

"Don't get too close to me, isidenge," Sya said as she got up to go to the restroom, leaving her food behind for Naledi to watch. As she walked around the living quarters, something shiny drew her attention—a spear lodged against the wall. She reached out for it but was interrupted by another voice: [Idiot]

"Do not touch another warrior's weapon!" the woman said as she forcefully removed the spear from Sya's touch.

"Mm, especially that one. It is cursed. Zuri couldn't hit a rhino in a stampede." Ayo joked with the girl.
