Y/N, Jane, and Susan all arrived in Koper in the late hours of the evening arriving outside the embassy building.
"What are we doing here again?" Jane asked.
"We're getting you two on a plane back to the states."
"And what about you?" Susan asked as Y/N looked at her.
"I'll be fine." Y/N said as he looked at her. "Hey, it's me, you know me, I've been through worse, besides, you've got to get back to school, you're friends are probably missing you."
"But I'll miss you, and what if you're not fine?" Susan said as Y/N smiled and hugged her, het put his hat on her head, chuckling at the way it was too big for her and nearly covered her eyes.
"You know what I'm like about my hat right?"
"You always go back for it." Susan said as Y/N nodded.
"That's right, so you know I'm gonna come back for it." Y/N said as Susan smiled. "Come here kid."
Y/N hugged her before looking up at Jane.
"You look after her while I'm gone?" Y/N asked as Jane nodded.
"Like she's my own kid. I promise." Jane said as Y/N nodded, he left, heading off towards the Mines of Koper.
As Jane and Susan walked into the American embassy they were welcomed by the staff, as Jane explained everything to the staff, Susan looked at her.
"Where are the toilets?" Susan asked the ambassador who nodded.
"Just down the hall on your right." The Ambassador said as Susan stood up.
"There and back, don't wander." Jane warned as Susan nodded, Y/N's hat wobbling on her head as she nodded. As Susan left the room the ambassador chuckles.
"Quite a kid you got, she yours?"
"Oh um, yes, well no...it's complicated, I'm looking after her for her father...father figure, like I said it's complicated." Jane said as the ambassador nodded.
"I'm guessing he gave her that hat?"
"Yeah, she was worried about him not coming back so he gave her the hat and told he's gonna come back because he always goes back for his hat."
"Sounds like a good man." The ambassador said as Jane scoffed.
"He's...yeah, he's a good man, especially with her." Jane said as she looked at the ambassador. "So is there any chance you can help us get back home?"
"Well, we can get you on a flight but the due process for all of that means the soonest we can do that is next week. You're welcome to stay here, we have rooms."
"Um, yes, that will be fine thank you." Jane said as she checked her watch. "Sorry, do you mind if I go check on her a minute."
"Sure."
Jane walked down the corridor and into the toilets.
"Susan? You alright honey?" She said as she looked around. "Susan?"
That was when she found the small backpack.
"Oh shit." Jane said as she picked the bag up, turning around she saw one of the office staff who grabbed her while another hit her with a club, knocking her out...
