Tori and Ariel were in the kitchen singing along to Lighthouse's You and Me when Izzie came in. She didn't say anything as she moved over to the coffee pot and started it up.
Tori turned down the radio, "You okay, Izzie?" She asked cheerfully
Izzie just shook her head which caused the mother to shrug it off, "Mermaid, did you say pizza or grilled cheese for lunch?" She asked her daughter
"Pizza." Ariel said through a mouthful of banana
Tori nodded and moved to get the pizza when she felt the baby kick. She smiled and rubbed the spot where she was kicked and continued to make Ariel's lunch while Izzie was watching coffee percolate in the kitchen when George entered.
"Did you guys get any sleep?" He asked
Ariel nodded, "I slept good." She said
Tori nodded as well, "I only got up twice to pee." She told them
"Oh, she could oil the bedsprings as a courtesy or at least buy a padded headboard." Izzie huffed, talking about Meredith's sexcapades
"So who's the guy?" George asked, mostly to Tori
"Someone." Tori replied simply
Izzie raised her eyebrows, "You think it was just one guy doing all that work?" She asked
"Yeah." George nodded, "Do you mind if I don't think about that?"
Izzie looked at him, "Oh, jealous?" She teased
Tori rolled her eyes at the two. 'if I beat the answer into them, would they get it?' she thought to herself
George shook his head in denial, "I'm not jealous."
Ariel looked at the two interns, "Why are you jealous?" She asked
"Because Auntie Mer is having sex." Tori answered her daughter, she then leaned closer to her daughter and lowered her voice, "With someone who isn't and will never be him." She whispered
Ariel giggled and Tori raised her finger to her lips. George made a noise, indicating he didn't like the topic of conversation.
Izzie sighed, "Well, I am. But at least I know she'll be having a long day at work." She said
Tori took a bite of an apple and chewed it, "You do know that this is Mer, Ariel and I's house? We can do whatever we want, we don't need to run it by you guys." She told them
Izzie shot her a dirty look, "It's called courtesy. I don't know how you two slept through it."
Before Tori could answer, the stairs started creaking, indicating Derek was coming downstairs. Izzie and George went to the kitchen door and closed it, only leaving a crack.
Derek tried to sneak out but Izzie and George saw him. The two shared a look of anger and disgust.
"Well, at least we know brain surgery isn't his only skill." Izzie scoffed
