Green and Blue

When blue met green and green met blue, that's when I knew I'd always love you

but despite not thinking that you feel the same, our one true moment somehow came.

But our moment quickly passed, I was alone, you were gone too fast

vanishing in an ooze of black, your last words still pounding in my head

the first "I love you", just for me was the last one you would ever speak

that happiness you could never have was me, I just wish I could have made you see

that I always wanted you to be mine, but instead we just ran out of time.

I still remember that the night we met, your voice was burnt into my head

and for the first time in my life, I felt like I didn't have to hide

since then, each time with you, I felt a feeling that was new

after you pulled me from hell, head over heels I fell

for you and only you, you were that one love that was true.

Why were we on the run so long, maybe nothing would have gone wrong?

we could have been together, not just longing, staring into eyes forever

but now all words leave a bitter taste, your absence seems like cruel fate

all that torture that we went through, purgatory, yes even hell too

all times we were bent or broken, now I feel our time was stolen.

"I love you too, I always have, my dear" that's what you were meant to hear

But your final goodbye you'd already said, next moment I felt cold wall against my back

seconds ago, we were staring at each other, the last moment between us, two lovers

The room usually full of laugh and fear, was now filled with choked back tears

My face still buried in my hands, tears streaming after losing our last chance.

Just between some silent sobs, played my memories of us and oh my god

Between all the fights, the "sorry"s, all those years, I forgot life without you here

And a thought flashed, though it never should... that this time you'd be gone for good.
