Tiaraoluwa Londyn Miles
Diary Dee.
I was forced to go to Tyrrel's mother's house. 'Iya oko ę' as Lucas said. I didn't reply him because I understood what he said. It means 'the mother of your husband' in Yoruba but Tyrrel isn't my husband at all and I pray he never is.
She prepared pounded yam, ęfo riro and assorted meat for me but I said I was not hungry and went to Tyrrel's room. He followed me and slapped me immediately he entered.
'Na my mama be dat o!' He yelled. 'Respect yourself for dis house o. Make I no slap the belle commot for your body o. Una ment?'
I didn't reply him even when his mother ran into the room and rebuked him for hitting a pregnant woman and made him apologise. I just looked at the both of them and went to sleep. I didn't even have the energy for any beating at all.
Can you believe Lucas was around and he neither rebuked Tyrrel nor told me sorry. I just hate him. I do!
