I. Sadie Martin was used to weaving chilling tales of monsters, ghosts, and supernatural beings because her mother Amelia was a successful horror book author. When growing up Sadie remembered her mother's days revolving around her writing as she immersed herself in folklore, ancient legends, and ghost stories passed down through generations. What Sadie never expected was one of her mother's books coming their reality when Sadie's father was murdered.
II. Six months after her father's untimely death, a tragic incident that left both Sadie and her mother shattered. As their lives crumbled, Amelia clung to the idea that a vampire was responsible for her husband's murder. Haunted by this belief, Amelia made the decision to uproot their lives and move to Forks, because she believed that the town known for its eerie legends and tales would be the answer to the mystery of what happened to her husband.
III. Paul Lahote had a hard time after shifting, his anger, like a raging storm, often consumed him and caused him to lose control of his emotions. He was notorious for having a volatile and quick temper and he often struggled to control his emotions, especially his anger. Paul and Sadie's paths crossed and that moment forever changed their lives. It was as if her calming aura tamed the wildness within him, quieting the storm that raged within his soul. However, it was more complicated because Sadie happened to be dating a boy whom Paul despised.
