Chapter 29

Katsuki's alarm blared through the room, signaling the start of a new day. Groggy from sleep, he reached over to turn it off, his eyes squinting against the harsh morning light. As he rolled over, he found himself facing Izuku, who was still asleep, and for a moment, his scowl softened as he observed his partner. Deku always managed to look so damn peaceful in slumber, like nothing in the world could touch him.

He couldn't help but huff as he watched his partner sleep, trying to shove those sappy thoughts aside. Trying not to think about the intensity of emotions from the sex last night, the way their bodies had tangled together, and how it made him feel something he couldn't fully explain.

Katsuki's gaze traced the contours of Izuku's face, taking in every detail—the soft curve of his lips, the gentle rise and fall of his chest as he breathed, the stray strands of hair that fell delicately across his forehead. He found himself captivated by the tranquility that enveloped Izuku in his slumber, a sight that only he was privy to.

Reaching out, Katsuki brushed his fingers gently against Izuku's cheek, relishing in the tender contact. He marveled at the way Izuku's skin felt against his touch, smooth and warm. Yeah, he was soft for Izuku, but he sure as hell wasn't going to admit it out loud to anyone other than Izuku.

The events of the previous night echoed in his mind—their heat, the intertwining of their bodies, the raw emotions that had coursed through them. It was a side of himself that Katsuki had never shown, much less seen, but with Izuku, it felt natural to let his damn guard down.

Lost in his thoughts, Katsuki lowered his hand, allowing it to rest gently against the bed. He took a moment to savor the stillness of the room, the only sounds being the soft breaths of Izuku and the distant hum of the waking city beyond their home.

But as he focused on the tranquility, his thoughts shifted to the recent activities of the League of Villains, and a seething rage ignited within him.

How dare those scumbags lay a finger on Izuku?

Anger simmered within him, fueling his determination to protect his partner with every fiber of his being.

His hand clenched into a fist, his knuckles turning white with the intensity of his grip. "Those damn villains think they can mess with Deku?" he growled under his breath. "Well, they've got another thing coming."

The memory of Odd Eye, that bastard from the League, made Katsuki's blood boil. The nerve of that villain, targeting Izuku like some sick game. They thought they were so clever, hiding in the shadows, but Katsuki knew better.

He huffed at the thought before releasing a frustrated sigh and reluctantly pulling himself away from the warmth of the bed. He couldn't afford to dwell on his anger for too long, not when there were responsibilities to attend to. He reluctantly tore his gaze away from Izuku as he got up. He knew that protecting Izuku required more than just anger. It required action and strategy.

For the next few days, Katsuki dedicated himself to spending every spare moment with Izuku. They laughed, they talked, and they cherished each other's presence. He pushed aside his anger towards the League of Villains momentarily to focus on what truly mattered: protecting and supporting Izuku. Katsuki wanted to create a shield of love and happiness around Izuku, a barrier against the darkness that threatened to consume their world. Even so, he continued their rehab routine, pushing Izuku to regain his strength and abilities.
