~♥️Hunters perspective♥️~

I reached the emperor's lair, where my uncle would be waiting for me. I took a deep breath and stepped inside, alerting belos of my return, I kneeled down like I was about to tie my shoelace, but instead it was like a bow

Belos: "Your back, and without the witch I see.."

Hunter: "I-im sorry uncle I-"

Before I could finish my sentence, belos shot a goo spike at me, it was aimed at my arm and it cut through my armour and flesh, it took a chunk out of my skin and I could feel blood seeping through it

Belos: "You disappoint me, Hunter. I have been made aware of your capture"

I could feel my face go grim behind the mask, what would he do? He knows I was weak against the witch, and failed to capture her.

Belos: "You will be punished for your weakness and inability"

He was looking down on me, leaning above me as I kneeled Infront of him, I could feel his anger and dissapointment radiating off of him.

Hunter: "y-yes uncle.."

I was lightly shaking, what was he going to do? He could possibly do what he did most times and give me another scar on my hands, or somewhere else. Each scar represents a failed mission, I hadn't gotten any from fighting because of my armour.

Belos: "rise"

He sounded just as angry as I imagined, I stood up from my kneeling position and looked up at him, he was looming over me, I felt highly intimidated and scared

Belos: "your current behaviour and ability has been horrendous this week, I expect better from you"

He was cold and stern, I could feel his anger boiling up inside him, but all I did was nod at him

Belos: "and you will now receive your punishment"

Before I could react, he launched a goo hand at me, and it pushed me towards the wall, I felt my whole body throb from the pain of being pushed into a wall with that amount of strength

Belos: "remove your gloves, you do not deserve a scarless punishment"

I did as he said and removed my gloves, my whole body shaking and throbbing from the pain, once my gloves were removed he handed me a sharp dagger

Belos: "I will allow you to do it yourself, but I expect it to not be merciless"

I held the dagger and looked up at belos, my mask was covering my face, covering how scared I was, but I knew I'd get even worse a punishment if I didn't. So after a few moments of hesitation, I put the blade up to my skin and carved a long line through my flesh, it began to bleed a heap and I looked up at belos again.

Belos: "Perfect.. But one last act for your punishment"

I clutched my arm and dropped the dagger, and tried my best to prepare myself for the rest of my punishment, he began to walk over to a coal pile, and looked at me to follow him. Once we reached the coal pile, I noticed that they were ones, burning over a fire, it would be steaming hot. I looked at it scared, I looked up at belos, and awaited his command, my golden mask shimmering in the dim light

Belos: "I think you know what your doing, go ahead"

I hesitated for a moment before touching the boiling coal, my hand burning and my arm shaking, I couldn't take my hand off untill he told me too, but I was in so much pain, my reflexes were ready to kick in and take my hand away, once belos noticed he used his goo hand to hold my hand down, he then grabbed a small piece of coal that was on fire, he put it next to my hand and motioned for me to grab it. My hand was quivering, but I quickly grabbed it, my hand was begging to light up in fire, after a few seconds of holding it belos motioned me to put it back down, and so I did, and quickly at that

Belos: "you may leave now"

I began to walk out, my whole body throbbing and my hand shaking heavily, I walked over to my room in the castle. I looked around my room and realised my medkit was empty, I wouldn't be able to treat my shoulder, hand or arm without anything. So I would have to go to the market and get new supplies.
