Nearly midnight

(Y/n) was snoring asleep in his bed peacefully without a care in the world

The door to his room slowly slid opened as someone slowly entered quietly

They knelt down beside him causing then floorboards to creek as (y/n) started to stir

(Y/n):h-hmm?

His vision was blurry and he couldn't make anything out

???:big brother...

(Y/n) rubbed his eyes and was able to make out Yukako

(Y/n):hmm?

Yukako:I-I'm thirsty...can you walk me to the well?

(Y/n) started yawning as he stretched

(Y/n):mhmm...

(Y/n) started getting up half asleep as he put on his haori

Meanwhile the injured demon was lurking towards Old woman Suiya's house

As he shifted through the tall grass it make very slight vibrations in the ground that would be totally unnoticeable to even a normal person in close proximity

There was one person in the small village that could feel them though

In the residence of Kishienrai, the old man was sleeping quietly next to his wife, he felt those vibrations as he slowly opened his eyes

His eyes were different from before though, his pupils were razor sharp as he slowly got up and walked to the closet

Inside the closet was a pair of odd weapons

Nearing the towns well was (y/n) and his sister Yukako

Yukako was clinging to his haori sheepishly

(Y/n):one of these days you need to start going on your own.

Yukako:b-but it's so scary at night...mr.Kishienrai says monsters are out at night.

They made it to the well as (y/n) dropped a bucket attached to a rope into the deep pit

Yukako kept holding onto her brother as she looked around the quiet and dark village

While she was looking around she saw Kishienrai running towards the other side of the village, as quickly as she'd seen him he'd vanished into the night making her think it was just her imagination

As (y/n) pulled the bucket back up he inhaled as he yawned

(Y/n) started coughing as he handed the bucket to his sister

(Y/n):Yukako go home, I'll be right behind you.
